Digging through old boxes getting ready for an overseas move I found some of my old Rockets championship attire and all of my VHS tapes of both Rockets championship series. Has to be a good sign! Too bad I can’t figure out how to insert a photo
Here's how I ended up adding photos (like the one below) **CF doesn't allow you to paste/store pics on their site, so you have to host them elsewhere 1) Keep this link handy "tiny pic" http://tinypic.com/ (you likely want to copy/past all of these instructions for future reference) 2) When on the 'tinypic' page, select "CHOOSE FILE" 3) Now navigate to where your image is stored 4) Highlight your file and select 'OPEN' and it should show your file name next to "Choose File" 5) Now select, "UPLOAD NOW" (leave all settings on default) 6) To prove you are not some automated, bot, the site will have you answer a question in a pop up box 7) If your file uploads correctly, you should see "SHARE THIS IMAGE" 8) You may now add the photo to CF by doing the following A) Highlight/copy the content in the "IMG Code for Forums & Message Boards" this will direct the CF site to your image B) On your CF post you will see menu items and little icons along the top. The one next to the smiley face is an icon of a picture or 'image'. Click on that and a box will open up. C) Now 'paste' your code into that box and click "INSERT" and your image will now show up (like I did below) ****THE INSTRUCTIONS I JUST DESCRIBED ARE FOR A PERSONAL PHOTO ON YOUR LAPTOP OR PC. TO POST AN IMAGE ALREADY HOSTED ON THE INTERNET, SIMPLY RIGHT CLICK ON THE IMAGE, COPY IMAGE ADDRESS, AND THEN REPEAT STEPS B AND C ABOVE. YOUR IMAGE WILL APPEAR IN YOUR POST ***JUST BE CAREFUL NOT TO DO GIANT IMAGES AS WILL BE MOST ANNOYING TO HAVE A GIANT POST IN THE THREAD. WHEN LOOKING AT IMAGES ON GOOGLE, IT WILL TYPICALLY SHOW IMAGE SIZE. SMALLER IS TYPICALLY BETTER THAN BIGGER I HOPE THIS HELPS ANYONE WHO DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO POST IMAGES
Thanks for posting the instructions, @Remlap. For the record, CF Contributing Members do have direct-pic-uploading privileges. One more reason to toss in a few bucks to support the community.
