Andrew Luck is one hell of a QB. He will butt rape Schaub and make him eat the football IF Schaub starts. But I think Keenum might be able to keep up, IF he gets the support he needs and his blockers block for him so he has time to throw...
Most of those empty backfield set sacks were on Keenum, as much as people here in this forum will say they weren't. He needs to make the reads on those overload blitzes and get the ball out quicker.
That will come with time/experience. You also sometimes have to tip your hat to the other team... that defense is a monster right now. Reminds me of the 2009 Jets or 2011 Texans. TBH, Schaub may have actually faired better in the 4th quarter, once we abandoned the run (similar to the comeback drives against SD and Tennessee, where they were bringing increased pressure)... but I'm not really going to go there for fear of disturbing the "peace".
Agreed. That being said, we know what he have with Schaub, so I hope Keenum plays out the rest of the season. Ideally we then draft a QB in the first round, and end up with a solid backup in Keenum.
A bad news is that the owner will use this as the reason to keep the current coach for another year unless you are the fans of Kubiak, then it could a good news. To me, it is a mixing news.
