really though, why not do that. no one really remembers that san antonio tanked to get tim duncan, as much as they remember that they are currently one of the best teams in the nba. its still too early, but if things get really bad, i think its definately what they should do.

Shawn Bradley=Death Stick. Does anyone else remember his knee cutting Hakeem?

At least we know this year if we don't make the playoffs, since its still early, we can blame it on the injuries. Mobley has been injured and is still ailing, Maurice Taylor out for the year, Steve Francis out a month and a half, Rice out a month. Our team has been hit hard from injuries and is suffering miserably, that is our entire starting unit (excluding Cato) hurt. We were shooting pretty awful when everyone (excluding Mo) was playing in the first few games, but we were playing tight D and playing really smart. After this hellacious month things should be much brighter. (I swear I saw Sane's message after I posted this:D)

I think it was Barkley, not Hakeem.

Det, you are correct. I remember Barkley missing serval games because of the incident. He described it like getting stabbed by a knife.

Yep, and the irony of it is that it was after Barkley had invited Bradley for dinner the evening before. It was what he called a "freak injury"...
