not enough money on our side. . . NO WHERE NEAR Howard is a 20 Mill guy by himself but i like ya thinking Maybe Gooden Howard is a lil soft but then so is gooden Rocket River
This is all just silly, if we have to make some changes this season it should not start with steve francis at all, if i would have to start with somebody it would be cuttino mobely. Whenever he has done good we have won, but how many times has he done good. I did not notice any difference between cuttino in the regular season and cuttino in the playoffs. Heck, i didnt see a difference with any Rocket besides Steve Francis. He lived up to his hype, in the playoffs atleast. Without him, we would make a 4 game exit, without him we probably wouldnt even make the playoffs. No matter what anybody says, true he had a bad shooting, and offensive season, maybe because of the new system who knows, without steve our season would not be the same. Everybody looks at points, when yall look at the box score automatically you look at the points don't you but if you for one second stopped and opened your eyes, you would realize that the story may not be in the stats. What steve contributes on the floor is much more than any other rocket can do. He provides energy, and some leadership. He is the Rocket Franchise. It seems to me, like if we trade steve francis this offseason, for a bad deal like those two, and trying to save money, we wont be taking a step ahead, we will be taking a step backwords. We have been building around Cat and Francis, for 5 years, it hasn't brought us any gold. Thank god for Yao Ming, he is our way out. With Shaq going down, nobody can stop Yao, hes only 23 i believe, and hes chinese, give him time, Hakeem had to develop too, unfortunently Yao did not have to oppurtunity to play college ball here in the U.S. The rocket franchise should rest on Yao, Francis, and one more star, plus the supporting cast. Bringing in players like Al Harrington, Rashard Lewis, and Brent Barry, while keeping JJ Yao and Francis, would be great for our team. This is our only way of taking a step forward this off season, keep Francis, trade Mobely, thats the key, in my opinion.
How is it like to spend your whole day (am) and night (pm) in the club (I presume night club)? Just curious.
To be honest with you it can be very stressfull at times, but all of the freebies are really really nice.
Always good to get a Doc Post. With respect I add that Toronto is an interesting suggestion as the Raps are coachless and GMless, therefore directionless. Further Rose as a JVG'er? Plus '...no riddle, and no rhyme. That's what I was told VERBATIM....or was I???' is that not a riddle? I do believe Stevie is gone. I believe nothing may make more sense in BOTH directions than Stevie for Brand.
How does Steve for Brand make sense for the Clips? Yeah, I know they have Wilcox waiting in the wings. And they do need a PG, but Steve's not a good PG. Maybe if Steve were Jason Kidd.
why not... Kidd was traded TWICE (and almost left his thrid team for a fourth in Free Agency) I want to keep SF3, but it is not uncommon for young talented player to be shipped around in the league
For $11 million a year??? Jim Jackson plays with energy and provides leadership...he make about $3.5.
Doc Rocket, Thank you so much for posting. It is so nice to hear info from an inside source. It helps us fans get through the off season. I wanted to ask, could you contact your source and get some more of their own feedback to some of the issues being discussed. I would like know someone's opinion on other potential changes. How is Van Gundy viewing Yao's progress and what does he expect this off season from Yao. Could you make contact and get some more opinions from your source? I eat that stuff up because I feel Clutch validates your source and I trust Clutch in that area. Thanks
This isn't about fans' wishes, this is what Stevie is reported to have said. This is about directions the Rox, read: JVG, wants to take the roster.
JJ doesn't play with the kind of energy that Steve Francis does. I'm trying to say that Steve's leadership means we should consider him untouchable. I am just saying that in the energy, fire up your team kind of way Steve is probably far ahead of Jimmy Jackson. Steve does dive out of bounds to save loose balls, goes to the floor, for the ball, puts everything he has into those kinds of plays that can spark a team. JJ does play with energy, but it's more contained than Steve's and not on the same level. As far as leadership, JJ may even be a better leader as far as passing on wisdom etc. to his teammates. If we are talking about leadership as far as taking over a game when Yao is unable to, then Steve is still more of a leader than JJ. Again If the right deal for Steve comes up, then we should take it, but none of the ones mentioned here are that kind of deal, and very few others that I've seen are either.
