Good Lord.... am I the only one here who has taken 15 millligrams of Ambien?

This is the second night I have taken one and a half and I am not lying, it is what I would describe as a very gentle, easy, heavy, wavy, wobbly, trip. The colors are great and the screen breathes that I think on. It looks alive. SOmetimes the letters will stray and want to do their own things and form their own alliances but the see me look back over on the screen and the scuffhle all back together.....And the sounds that my keybourd makes as I type are in the dialict of the word people I am addressing. Peasefull. Wow, Doc didn't mentionthis.

 

Tell her the shaman said one and a half.... and get ready to laugh.

 

Well anyway, no ambien tonight. It was prescribed to me and the doc told me to take 15 mils for two nights if 10 didn't work. I have extreme insomnia. Especially when I am under stress like recently, someone in my family in the hospital, don't really want to talk about it.

I have gone for three days without sleeping, and that is not because of drugs or anything, just can't sleep. The ambien works well but sometimes not even 10 mils will put me down. Fifteen did it real quick. If you notice I wasn't posting after about one or two posts.

Ambien, I later discovered, is a sedetive hypnotic, which explains the mental disparity I was experiencing. For those of you who are prescribed it, I hope my posts didn't seem like an encouragement to take alot. I would NEVER take more than 15 mils considering the effect that that had. Also my doc told me that the difference between 10 and 15 is like triple the effect and the difference between 15 and twenty is like triple THAT effect, which in effect would leave you passed out.

Anyway, just thought I would share me experience in case anyone else takes the medication.
