Notice I said she looks good. I didn't say "hot". She carries her weight very well. Afterall, she IS a covergirl. They don't pick dogs.
If you look at actresses from the '40s through the mid-'60s (when styles changed at some point, and thin was in), there are tons (no pun intended!) of beautiful, buxom babes, who were simply gorgeous. If I had time, I'd google some images.
Jackee - back when she was on 227 Latifah is ok Kim Fields some folx like Monique . .from the Parkers. . I am not one of those hhhmmmm who else. . . . . Rocket River *grin*
I have never seen a good looking big girl. Basically over 140lbs. Sometimes I'll see a big girl with a cute face, and my buddies and I will say "thats a tragedy."
::barf:: she doesn't look good thick or thin. a nice thick chick is mariah carey. although she's lost some weight, kelly clarkson is still kinda of meaty to my liking.
that's the irony i believe. "mr. brightside" is a song by the killers, whom i believe is an emo band.
Kelly Clarkson is a heavy(er) girl that I think looks hot.. Before Isabel or Megs get on here and tell us off I must say we are grading on the Hollywood scale not the real life scale here.. two totally different things
If you look at their dress sizes a lot of really athletic women would be considered big but are still hot. The woman who won the gold in Moguls, I think her name is Kari Traa, has some big hips but is pretty attractive. If you watch Michelle Kwan during practices when she's wearign a body suit she's not exactly a waif but she is pretty hot. I think there's too much preoccupation on waist size so you get the emaciated look when IMO there's nothing hotter than an athletic woman with a toned physique.
I think PGab's nailed it when he said that overweight women simply don't get cast in movies and shows. I know many very attractive women who are probably over 140 lbs. But I can barely think of any big women in shows. Plenty of out of shape men, though!
This discussion is pointless without having BigSherv define what he means by "big". it is interesting, however, (and quite sad) to see what some people in this thread consider "big".
this is one of the reasons HBO's original programing is light years ahead of hollywood and the rest of television. they just cast good actors and actresses.
