Just saw this in a Houston Press article. Apparently, it is served out of a vending machine in Nebraska. I want to try one.

I've seen that list. Pretty interesting.

Although it seems that even the so-called healthy fast food items are just LOADED with salt. I guess that's the only way for it to have any kind of taste.

OMG! I get sick just thinking of that. Reminds me of that commercial from the Simpsons:

We take eighteen ounces of sizzling ground beef, and soak it in rich, creamery butter, then we top it off with bacon, ham, and a fried egg. We call it the Good Morning Burger.

I've been eating "healthy" at fast food chains for quite some time now, so I've got some staples I usually fall back on...

    Wendy's chili (small): 190 cal, 6g fat, 14g protein

Wendy's sour cream & chives baked potato: 320 cal, 3g fat, 8g protein

Wendy's Ultimate Chicken Grill (mustard in place of honey mustard): 280 cal, 4g fat, 28g protein

*Wendy's Double Stack (no mayo, no cheese): 310 cal, 14g fat, 21g protein

*the Double Stack isn't really healthy, but when you just HAVE to have a burger, it's not terrible.

Taco Bell Fresco Ranchero Chicken Soft Taco: 170 cal, 4g fat, 12g protein

Taco Bell Fresco Grilled Steak Soft Taco: 160 cal, 4.5g fat, 10g protein

Taco Bell Spicy Chicken Soft Taco: 170 cal, 6g fat, 10g protein

Jack in the Box Chicken Teriyaki Bowl: 585 cal, 6g fat, 25g protein

Jack in the Box Grilled Chicken Strips (4pc): 177 cal, 2g fat, 37g protein

    General rules:

    - stay away from chicken nuggets, fries, cheese, and sodas
    - go for diet drinks or unsweetened iced tea if they have it
    - sub mustard and/or ketchup for mayo whenever possible
    - take the top bun off your burger/sandwich if you can do without it

I don't eat much fastfood and when I do I do Subway, usually a footlong roast chicken breast with cheddar and mustard on wheat or honey oat. I think the cheese adds some fat but otherwise fairly healthy. I will also hit Chipotle and get a vegetarian burritto with cheese and guacamole. I hear that guacamole is fairly unhealthy so if you skip that sourcream and cheese its pretty healthy since the vegetarian black beans don't have lard in them.

If you are looking something fast and healthy Vietnamese food might, bun salad and bahn mi sandwhiches might be the way to go.

The best thing you can do though is to make your own lunch which is likely to be healthier and cheaper than most fast food.

I've seen a few studies that show that diet drinks aren't really much healthier than regular and haven't led to a lot of weight loss. I'm addicted to caffeine so I will drink soda everynow and then but mostly drink tea since you also get the benefit of antioxidants.

I've heard that as well, but I have to assume the diet drinks are still better for you than the real thing. I know not everybody likes tea, so...

Another thing is simply eat less. I'm 6'0 and 200lbs. and I only order the six inch sandwhiches or take the second half home for dinner. We humans really don't have to eat a lot.

man I feel really disapointed now. I had huge respect for you. First off the blatant name, then the full knowledge of houston area dining.

200 pounds? WTF! change your name!
