If we end up with all 3...we would have officially put our REBUILDING in "hyper-drive". Thabeet would be the biggest project to develop but at the end of the day, he is 7'3" and we do have caroll dawson, Jack Sikma, and the occasional visit by the Dream to help develop these guys.

I have never been a Morey lover nor have I held him as being brilliant, but if he finds a way to land the following in one year, he would indeed be great:

    Terrance Williams (DONE)
Anthony Randolph (via trade w/ draft pick or TE)
Hasheem Thabeet (via trade w/ draft pick or TE)
    Andre Igudala (via trade)

    WOW!!!

I think there's a simple fix, trade Battier and let the youth and athleticism take over.

Dont think we gonna get iggy, but im fine with the other 3.
Thabeet with great potential to bad memphis treated him like crap.
Anthony Randolph 6'11 very athletic, fast for his height and can shoot
T-will can be a ball hog but will learn his lesson, his jump shot needs to improve.

We are all set to be a playoff team :D

This is a very good trade. If Morey were to trade Battier, Williams would be a very good replacement. He can play the 2 and 3, he has high potential, and can play with starter minutes.

In my opinion with this trade it really looks like Battier is going to be traded.

With us acquiring Thabeet it truly looks like we are getting a 2nd Yao (which is not a bad thing), with his height and everything. We will see major development from him offensively.

Anthony Randolph as a new acquisition would be a good trade as well. He has major potential. If he could keep his body healthy the trade would be a steal.

And I don't need to say anything about Andre Iguodala. He has very good defense and could dunk it on anyone at will. Nothing else to be said.

By bringing in these players quoted from another person our rebuilding phase would be in "hyper-drive", the only question now would be if Morey can bring in these players before the deadline so we can make a run for the playoffs. If not, there would always be next year.

Between Martin, Lee, Shane, and Budinger.... how is TW going to see more than 5 minutes a game?

There's an odd man out in there somewhere, just a matter of time before DM's plan surfaces.

Most of his minutes will be at the SF. If he beats out Bud he will have minutes. If he doesn't he might get another trip to DL.

Personally he brings so many things Bud doesn't. Defense, rebounding, slashing to the basket and steals. He's got at least equal handles and might even be a better passer. He probably forces some shots he shouldn't which is the opposite of Bud who probably hesitates on some shots he shouldn't. If he can hit a 3 at least 35% of the time it should be a no brainer for Adelman.

Maybe Bud will get his form back and shoot lights out again and it will be Battier whose minutes get cut. Probably not but at least we have options at the 3 when players get in slumps or injured. Battier usually has a stint on the injured list. Plus we are becoming defensively and athletically stronger at the wings now. Lee, Battier and now T-Will definitely will help against the Kobe's and Carmelos and Lebrons.

On paper, this seems like a meaningless move; I guess I will just have to wait and see him play. I absolutely don't see the basis for all the buzz.

People that just look at Williams' stats and see his horrible FG % obviously don't know his game. If you have ever seen this guy play then you know he can ball... He is very athletic, plays solid D, and he is a good rebounder and passer as well. He has played on a pathetic team his first 1.5 years so he developed some bad habits, but with the Rockets and under Adelman he is poised to break out... all the haters will know soon enough.

Let's hope you are wrong. We could definitely use some help at the SF spot. Remember C-Bud has only stopped playing abysmally just recently.

My thought is that Williams doesn't have to be great. He just has to make us better and I think he can do that. It's definitely not a sure thing that he will but it is something IMO to be optimistic about. So we are looking better on the court as of late. Brooks is coming back soon to give us the best 6th man in the league and we have someone to at least compete with Bud if he starts stinking up the court again. That's worth a little buzz.

Truly Love this move. T-will has great potential!!! Budinger has played great the last two games though. Hopefully not but i among others have a feeling Martin may be the odd man out. Which would suck because I really like Martin's game.

Soooo simply because he is now playing for RA instead of Avery, his attitude is magically going to be transformed? Riiiiight. I have to ask: exactly what wsa wrong with the "atmosphere" in New Jersey? Did the fact that AJ wanted to win upset his world? Or that AJ insists on his players playing smart fundamental basketball as espoused by his mentor Greg Popvich? I mean after all what has THAT guy ever done in the league, right? It's not as if AJ knows what he's doing or has won a championship or something, right?

So if I understand your point correctly, Williams will now blossom because the pressure to win and be a smart professional basketball player is soooo much less here than it was in New Jersey. Anything is possible I suppose but I wasn't aware that magic was one of them.

while I agree that his attitude is a concern, avery has a history of burning out his players. my bet is that he came into a losing situation and went ultra hard ass and this young kid couldn't handle it. Hell, the Dallas Mavericks couldn't handle it when they were winning.

I would not put Avery's poor relationship with him as a pure indicator that he is uncoachable. It is a red flag though.

what a lateral move. All I'm worried about right now is being screwed by NY on draft night. They're 16-9, and all I've been seeing up till now are frame shifts.

I will support this team to its darkest day but it really hurts at the culmination of an era that was nothing but failure.

I pray the rockets take a step in the right direction.

Why NY? What can they possibly do to us in the draft?
And I don't see how anyone can compare Williams to Taylor. I just don't.
