They're supposed to get his rebounds! That's what the 6ers do.

I hope your joking, but if your not, I got a question for ya?

how do you get expect one to get offensive rebounds when one is forced to clear out for Steve and stand out near the top of the arc?

simple! Run in after the shot! I get a lot of boards that way while playing street ball.

Hustle. The problem is we have no true double digit rebounders. Yao is too tired. Griffin can grab about 5. Cato can ony play 20 minutes before self- destructing. Mo is good for 1 or 2 boards a game. The 6ers knew what they were doing what they got Kenny, now he is rebounding like crazy and Iverson has more shots (so his 40% shooting is irrelevant, he gets an average of more than 1 shot per possession with Kenny in there). They also got Tryone Hill.

The Rockets offense if based on spacing up high around the arc. The only time the guy is in the lane is if a post up play is called for him. other than that you got guys surrounding the perimeter waiting for the guards to drive or drive and kick. Philedelphia has guys moving and cutting inside the arc therefore they're in much better position to snag offensive rebounds. But do we really need a great offensive rebounding team like Philly.... the Rockets offensive players seem superior to Phillys, yet Philly does not limit Iversons teammates to standing out near the threepoint line waiting for iverson or Snow to drive and kick.

From your posts in this thread, one would think the Rockets are a horrid OReb team. Would it surprise you to know that they are the 6th best WC OReb team?

    GS - 1164
    DEN - 988
    LAL - 967
    PHO - 957
    UTA - 911
    HOU - 901

Philly has 923 in one less game. Both are a fraction above 12 per game.

Ok, so the Rockets are decent offensive rebounding team. but whether were a good rebounding team or not, the Rockets offense is pathetic.

back to the topic: Steve wants his teammates to play better. But im trying to figure out what Steve gives his team other than a lot of one on one or 1 on 3 fancy dribbling skills.

Texas Stoke, you really need to watch games more. Francis is not our major probem anymore. Mobley isn't horrible, but still holds the ball way too long and never will pass until in desperation. MOOCHIE IS HORRIBLE. I would rather have Francis at the 1 than Moochie. Our coaches have been doing decent, but we have many problems! Francis has been doing his best. He needs to find some way to motivate the players!
