i don't particulary care for all the family member shots, whether it be Chipper's dad, Clemen's wife or Garner's daughter

show me the game or at least, pan the whole crowd

also, Fox is too into showing the stupid "pitch by pitch" replay after Beltran's HRs .....we missed Carlos' curtain cal Saturday because of that

Tonight, we are the main event baby. I hope the Yanks and Sox can finish in 3 hours though.

They will love to drag on the Yankees series. i mean why else are the on the front page of every sports website etc....and we get the nice corner of the page and a few write ups....they are the big news right now and until it's over and we are the only series standing we won't get much publicity.

We just have to make our own noise...but then again i will turn down all this publicity to just to keep winning.

Last night was such a nuisance here in SoCal. The Yankees/Sox game went late, so the Astros/Cards game wasn't on in LA on Fox. Fox Sports West even showed the Yanks/Sox. So the AL was on two stations, and the NL was on zero. Plus ESPN radio offered few updates on the score.

I finally gave up and ran an errand around 7:30. I got back to see the 9th. How sweet that was.

    Go Stros.

Just in case none of you realized it, the last 2 nights the alternate channel for games has been FX, not FSN.

So after the game yesterday, i choose to tune in to espn news to catch some highlights of my favorite plays in the game.

waited a little bit and then they got to baseball. yankees redsox. they showed darn near every important hit, strikeout, defensive play ect. for 5 minutes pretty much covering this. then they get to the nlcs. they showed kent hitting a homer and 3 seconds of getting mobbed. total: 20 seconds.

me and my dad cried laughing, he kept saying how pitiful the coverage was, and each time he said it, we laughed harder.

    More ESPN bullsh!t:

The caption on the front page of ESPN.com reads:

"David Ortiz ends the longest game in post season history."

This is pure crap. It was only the longest game in time only. And why is that? Freaking endless commercials. Tell me how the Mets and Astros can play 16 innings in less time than a 14 inning game?

In no way, shape or form should this game be considered "the longest game in post season history".

Why are you made about this? This game took more time than any other post-season game. Sounds like the longest to me. Would you have them always refer to it as the most time consuming game?

No one is going to start forgetting the Astros/Mets game all of a sudden.

I also have no idea what he's talking about. I certainly don't remember being 9 years old and bawling after the conclusion of the game. And I certainly don't remember that Mike Sco-- Crap. Looks like I have to schedule another trip to the therapist.

I guess because I am sooo frickin tired of having the ALCS crammed down my throat. I tired of having the tv shows "House", "Rebel Billionaire" and "Obnoxious Boss" shoved in my face every 4 minutes. And I'm tired of Fox "Game Breaks" so that they can show a lazy pop fly to end an inning, in another freaking game! If I wanted to watch that game, I would turn the channel.

You add all those things up (time wise), and you get this contrived "longest game in post season history" crap. That's why I am mad.

The longest game in post season history is also known as the greatest game in post season history. Game 6. 1986 NLCS. Period.

YEAH! I wasn't going to say anything about that, but what's the deal with that? I guess those MINI cameras on the sidelines catching the batter scratching his crotch only come in a 4:3 mode...

At least this gives me time to drain the worm.

good thing I can see Mr. George Bush and Mrs. Barbara on the right side of the home playte... :D great reactions by the geezers... er, mr. President and wife

There is one guy that keeps giving Houston his dues and that is Pedro Gomez. He has said it from the start of the playoffs and till now that the Astros are the team to talk about and will be talking about in the World Series.

Other than that i am just tired of it.

I think Fox has a man-crush on Jim Hickey

Is it just me, or do they interview him any chance they get? Before the postseason, I only knew what he looked like from all the fan guides I had purchased in the year. I swear I've heard him interviewed in every game so far this october. They love the guy.
