Master Baiter - He and his SO came down to Clear Lake so that we could swap a PS2 for an XBOX. They were both very cool. krosfyah and I met up in Clear Lake the Thursday before Rowdy tryouts to kick around ideas. Go figure, we both won tickets and I have seen him 40+ times this year. Dave2000 I have hung out with several times, at various Rox functions, parties, and games (like when he was the only one in the Rowdy section wearing white - a home jersey, so we gave him a break). Very cool dude. A long list of people who came out for my poker tourney a while back. Included macalu, Aceshigh7, SummerSongGiver, and a whole host of others that I would name if the search function was active and I could look up that thread. rfansince81 has been a Rowdy for a while now. Shows up with women that should be entirely out of his league, but for some reason aren't. Go figure. BobMarley, Harrisment and the others who showed up for the football game that Kam flaked out on (when he was supposed to bring the football). lol R2k and I have hung out a number of times at games, including the one where TMac scored 13 points in 35 seconds, ran into each other at a Rush concert, and various other functions. behad hosted a basketball game near his house and then donated several basketballs that became my Rowdy "armor." Matador let me sit at his table during a viewing party for an away game a LONG time ago. I am quite certain I am leaving out many, many people, but that is a direct result of my "youthful indiscretions."
ima_drummer2k - as mentioned, I've been subbing in his band recently. I never would have gotten those gigs without some comment I made here on Clutchfans SWTsig - I think I checked some CD's out to him when I was working in the music library at Texas State I'm pretty sure that's it.
I've met and talked with a TON of CF folks over the years - made quite a few good friends and even found a business partner. I have to be honest...I am HORRIBLE with names so I would not even attempt to list everyone here knowing I'd screw some of it up. The one's on here I probably know the best include MadMax, Clutch (obvs), gwayneco, rimbaud, Another Brother, Rocketman95, Rocketman Tex, Manny Ramirez, BBall Freak, Axeman, ima_drummer2k...that's right off the top of my head.
That worked out really well for both our teams didn't it. In addition to my experiences with Hangout Boy, I thought it was awesome of vengeance to hook me up with some DMB tix. I've also gotten some friendly emails, I remember getting one from Mango off the top of my head. All in all, since I don't really live around a bunch of CFs, I don't have the opportunity to have a lot of personal experiences.
mf'er i don't want to hang out with you on a serious note... yeah, i'd like to hang out with the bus stop stalkers again. stack runs the finest sports establishment in houston. i'll be there more. rushhour and mogrod are cool as phock. thanks for letting met kick y'alls arses in 21. owned! rm95 and rmtex... met y'all for about one minute after the yao ming movie premiere here in town. seem like a couple of good folks. macalu was cool... though he wouldn't bring out the killer crossover in the league games... only practice. "practice? we talkin' about practice man". masterbaiter seemed like a cool guy at stacks getogether at live. mj10501 has a nice inside game on the court. pasox kept in touch on myspace and was cool. oomp was a crazy mf'er at one of the rowdies games last year against the 76'ers. not as crazy as naismith this year though. holy schit, that mf'er is crazy. lol. jeff... i stalked you at one of the "orange is in" performances at rudyards. still have the cd. he's cool. akperez, after i deleted my myspace prof... i need to add you back on. you're one of the few that replied to my blogs there. "b" from the yao ming movie premiere doesn't post that much, but he was cool. also several others from the movie that i met. tmac640 and rule001 (meth and red)... even though y'all are goofy as hell in person, on the court, and on this board (mostly on the board)... y'all were still cool. dave2000 and miguel are really terrible people (not really). nice working with the both of you. how'd you like that phocked up note on your desk this afternoon, mig? lmao. i wouldn't mind seeing one of ab's performances or seeing meeting tj. the latter seems too off the wall to be a real person. wouldn't mind meeting castor since he's from the all-too-familar golden triangle area. being a player of earthbound doesn't hurt either (btw... you may want to check out this site if you enjoyed the game... starmen.net . still haven't met hp or r2k since they split up and went to sit with the rowdies at game one versus utah. would be cool to met antisonic as well (seems to be my white twin brother or something). sorry if i forgot the good experiences with others.
wow, I've been a whole bunch of people on here, lets see who I can name: Jeff: one of the bigs on the boards, met him at the open practice back in Yao's rookie year, my cousin told me it was him cause they interviewed him one time on Fox, i believe, cool guy, always remembers and says whatsup to me heypartner: another veteran, meet him formally when he gave me a ticket to the Sonics game back in 03-04 season, helped me out a bit with the suites, and of course part of the group last saturday Rockets2K: awesome guy, cool dude to be around with, first met him in the suites and of course joined us for the playoff game Miguel: Its funny how i met this dude, he was sparring with me on the boards on who took the best/most RPD pics, and I pwned him One of my homeboys now, always up to go to a Rockets/Texans/Astros game, got him a job at my previous job, Everyones' Internet (hell i was his supervisor) and now work with him at my current job Kam: I'll quote R2K whenever he first met Kam, "For all the sh*t you talk on the forums, your one quiet dude", couldn't agree more. I first met him back in '04 to sell him some WWE Smackdown tixs in which we both got camera time Met up with him again at the suites and the past 2 playoff games. He's my partner in crime in stalking the RPD and cool person to be around seclusion and aeroman10: worked with both of these peeps at Everyones' Internet, didn't know about the Rockets boards, and introduced them Clutchcity/fans. Great guys, don't work with them anymore, but still keep in touch with them moestavern19 and finalsbound: Moe was like one of my first few friends on MySpace back when it wasn't a fade yet. Finally met him and Shannon last summer when he came down, although briefly. Didn't even know Shannon was finalbound until like 2-3 days after I met them Met up with them for game 2 and was a blast sitting with those guys. R0ckets03: one of the first few people I've meet off of here, cool guy, still owes me the Rockets/Spurs 95 games on DVD OmegaSupreme: this guy here snuck up on me, a few month ago, he played around telling me that he worked in the same building as me, then just like a month ago, just came up to me and introduced himself in which he WORKS with me, heh. Cool guy, and helped me out with the group gathering, and took the majority of pics that were taken. JBIIRockets: met him a few years back to exchange a few games he has recorded on tape. Always see him once awhile at the Rockets games, and is cool in person. Nice Rollin: met up with him to sell a few tickets, sat with him during the Mavs game, and was part of the mega group, cool guy, true fan, loved the rant we started about Mavs fans after that game and it's been sticking since FrancisFan3: my cousin, yea he sucks GRENDAL: another RPD stalker partner in crime. Meet him a few times before a few games and always there next to an RPD when i see him Another Brother: One of the funniest guys you'll ever know. First went to his show in 2005, then another in 2006. Will always support this guy, will never disappoint you in the entertainment department, he even gave me a shoutout at his last show at the LaffSpot. krosfyah, andymoon, rfansince81 met with rfansince81 and andymoon before they were rowdies, great great guys, met krosfyah when planning for the SA trip in December, awesome guy, and there is one more rowdy that I've met that always calls me "RPD STALKER!!!!" but can't remember his moinker to save my life. The_Yoyo and RAID: our Cali representatives from LA/SD. Both cool guys and well represent the Rockets in Cali, awesome for both of yall to come down for a game. Whenever yall come down, be sure to keep up me updated Sirshir Chang: met him briefly at the Hornets games 2 weeks ago, awesome guy to meet and hope you come back down here Rocketman95: met him for tixs awhile back and saw him at the SA/Rockets viewing party in January, funny drunk, all I can say "If your a Spurs fan, then you support Osama Bin Laden", OMG i almost died laughing. ClutchCityReturns, lost_elephant, pradaxpimp, Naismith, airbullard How can I forget the mention the guys that MADE that suite one of the best times of my lives, we must do this again next season. Chance: Ironically, just met today at Nick's Place at Matt/Adam's road show. VERY COOL guy, remembered me, and even hooked me up with a few freebies akperez and JoshtheChild my MySpace buddies, have talked to them a few times, but never met in person Stack24: always hookup a cheapass like myself and give a few freebie shots whenever I'm at his place. dammit, i know I am missing A WHOLE LOT OF PEOPLE, but lets put it this way, I havent met anybody on here who was an ass. Its basically like a family and true to Houston's "nicest people" motto that has been said more than enough times.
I am honored to have graced this page finally. Met all of the people so far from the basketball league. Clutchcityreturns - cool guy, believe i was challenged by him to a dunking contest after making fun of his duffel bag in a thread, that I consequently lost at macalu's house. Macalu - pretty cool, played basketball at UH a few times and at his house. Dave2000 - "nearly" met him, was at half court during game one for this years playoffs, so it almost counts. Omegasupreme - played ball a couple of times with him at UH/Rice, cool guy. Stack24 - basketball a few times at UH/rice. biggie - pretty cool guy, things could have gone a little better with the basketball league though. Rushour/mogrod - basketball at uh/rice a few times. mj10501, Kam, rocketsredglare, oldmanbernie and a few others i left off... same deal basketball.
Thanks. I'd like to thank you guys for the San Antonio Trip with the Rowdies. We finally won at the stankin joint. Also, who's ever idea was it to meet at that 'hamburger joint', thanks for almost getting me to become Ricky on Boyz in the Hood. That was the most ghetto place I've seen in the longest time. Thank god, my ride was crappy then or my rims would have been off. It makes for a good laugh, but damn, please please research meeting places next time!
I've caused one bad experience I think...although it wasn't entirely my fault (ok yes it was, part of it) Kerfield - He had an extra ticket to the final Roger Clemens start, and I offered to buy the ticket off of him. He sent the ticket right away, and well, I was a dope and forgot to send him the money for about a week. Then, when he reminded me and I sent it, he said he never got it. Moron me ended up putting the address in the wrong spaces (return address and shipping address were swapped...-_-) I finally sent the 20 bucks out again and (if I remember correctly) he did reply that he received it. Now for other's I've met here. (in order of appearance) Dskillz - Knew him from another forum (Gaming-Age). Met him when I was looking to get rid of my Gameboy Advance SP and he wanted to buy/trade for it. I was going to buy MVP 2004 that same day for PS2, so I told him I'd trade him the GBA for MVP. Since then I've met up with him at Texans games and some 610 events. Chance - was probably one of the first dudes I met from clutchfans. I can't seem to remember exactly where I first met him. Coach's Sports Bar on 290? Or was it Ticket Attractions? Anyway, totally cool dude, and I think I have just about all of his songs on my Hard Drive somewhere. Dave2000 - Keeps finding me jobs (sort of, , although I finally convinced his lazy ass to get the **** out of EV1). Craziest Rockets fan here probably. I thought I was a pretty big fan, but he takes the cake. In which in which in which in which in which in which in which in which in which in which in which Stack24 - Met him during the Rockets/Lakers April 1st, 2003 game, as the Rockets were having a viewing party there, I think. Always hooks fellow CF members up whenever I've been there. Live Sports Cafe is the bomb. akperez - "Hi I'm Mandy" "akperez" OHHHHHHHHH haha. Yeah, it was during the Astros playoff games at Live in 2004, I was totally like "who's this good looking woman that came up to talk to me all of a sudden....then it all made sense when she mentioned her forum name. Rocketman95/Master Baiter/harrisment - Met up at the same Astros viewing party at Live, along with some other people who I can't remember off the top of my head. Have also seen RM95 multiple times at multiple BW3 locations. Oomp, hooked me up with some sweet astros tix, and I repaid the favor by giving him a ticket to the Rockets game 1 this saturday. Have seen JBIIRockets all over town. I swear I see him at least once every 2-3 months. Rockets games, 610 christmas party, I think at a Texans game once, and a few other places where I didn't see him but Dave2000 said he did. moestavern19 / finalsbound / kam / TheCat / GriffinFan / R2K / heypartner All part of the #houstonrockets/#clutchfans group (at least I think heyp used to come around) I originally started showing up because of the OOTP league, and drove the Expos into extinction. (Aurelio Higa FTW) Of all of the group, i met, in order. heypartner I met up with during the 2nd SmeggySmeg trip to Houston, and we were watching the All Star game at BW3 I think, and I remember talking to heypartner for a bit but couldn't understand a damn thing he was saying (it was loud, and he may have been a bit tipsy ) Kam (sold Astros playoff tickets to), then The Cat (outside of MMP, Astros vs Nats (Backe/Buchholz), then 4 seconds later, GriffinFan, also outside of MMP. moestavern19 outside MMP as well, as we were heading in to watch Astros/Twins. Later met... finalsbound at BW3 as we checked out some budweiser hotties, and I was watching the Astros and some world cup games. R2K is the last out of the bunch, and I met him for the Clutchfans suite game, another cool dude. The rest of the Suite Group: ClutchCityReturns, RAID, lostelephant, seclusion, Naismith, pradaxpimp. I think I missed one person, sorry! Christ, I've met a bunch of you guys. Some more off the top of my head. The_Yoyo, krosfyah, andymoon, OmegaSupreme Then there's someone who's protective significant other wouldn't let me meet up with this person directly to give a ticket to, but I will leave out names. GummiClutch out at EBgames in Baytown when we bought or PS3s. rfansince81 sold me some nice tix to a few rockets games in the past, and now I see him once in a while at Rockets games, kinda hard to miss him and the rowdies. Behad, smeggysmeg and smeggywife, as well as FattyFatBastard, all at the All star game meet up at BW3. If I missed anyone, please forgive me. I think I've named like 40 people and I keep updating every few minutes. Edit: Bought my ipod from LonghornFan. Thanks again! I ended up giving the iPod to my little brother as a gift, the thing was basically brand new. Edit: Add MadMax/RunningRaven to that as well.
forgot about him for some reason. had a blast at one of the original red rowdy games last season. i forget who the rox where playing but it was just me and him that showed up off of the board. we ended up moving up to some badass seats in the lower section and yelling our asses off. cool dude. btw, still got your card if i get into some legal issues or something. lol.
I never met anyone in person. I have a good experience with Ace He helped me with a donation to clutch a couple of years ago, since at the time i didn't have a credit card. And i helped him getting some soccer matches. Wnes offered to help me get a snow leopard DVD.
Me. lol I think we briefly made eye contact in front of TC before game 2 though. I'm 95% sure it was you. Thanks again for the ticket!
