I'm watching tonight... and when Dallas contains Nash, Stoudamire is basically useless. Sure, he gets his share of put backs, and blocked shots (which is all him)... but Amare needs a guard to find him the ball, otherwise he's worthless because he has NO low-post game.

As soon as Amare develops that post-up game, he will truly be unstoppable, and the closest thing to the second coming of Olajuwon.... but he's still got a ways to go for that.

Yeah, I agree because in the regular season, when Nash was injured for 6 games, Amare score like 10 pts less than his usual average, and the suns only win one game of those 6 games, coincidence, I dont think so!!

Thats why, Nash is the MVP not Amare, and Nash makes better his teammates. And just see the standings of last season

Nash is putting on a show. He's the only reason Phoenix is even in the game. I didn't really like Phoenix coming in, but I'm starting to like them more- they play great offense and don't act like they're entitled to things on the court.

Josh Howard is still a punk. Keep your mouthguard in your mouth and stop staring at people.

Dirk is still glorified Peja. Worst "MVP candidate" ever. The fist pump on a 15 foot jumper midway through the 2nd quarter has got to be one of the lamest things I've ever seen.

He got pwned by the 2nd best center in the NBA - *snicker*.

Josh Howard will get his day of reckoning and hopefully that will be soon.

Here is my opinion: If Joe Johnson didn't go down, Game 2 wouldn't have been close. The Suns also would have won today and this series would be over. They miss him big time and it may allow Dallas to pull this series out.

I don't know who to root for or against in this series. The main thing is the winner MUST lose in the next round to the Spurs or Sonics. I think the Spurs take out either team but there is no way the Sonics beat the Suns. I think the Sonics could beat the Mavs, especially if Rashard wakes up.

Mentioned this is the other thread - has anyone given the defensive effort tmac put on Dirk a third thought? Just seeing Dirk manhandle and easily have his way with The Matrix makes me appreciate even more what Tracy did for us on the defensive end against Dirk.

You got to give it to Avery again for making great adjustments. It looks like they are swarming Amare, and it doesn't look like they are going to let him beat them down low.

The Suns just need to play better defense and rebound the damn ball. Swarming Amare seems like a smart strategy for the Mavs but giving Steve Nash wide-open layups isn't such a great thing either.

In theory, swarming Amare shouldn't work because the other Suns should kill them. I guess the Suns aren't used to it and couldn't adjust their offense enough to capitalize. (I still say if Joe Johnson hadn't gone down this series would have been a sweep).

OR they could learn to play at least a little defense. The Spurs, Heat or Pistons will shred the Suns if they make it that far. A team this bad on defense cannot win the championship.

I'm sorry, but Dampier will always suck for the rest of eternity.

    WTF!!!

This should not take the Suns this long and be this hard to put the Mavs out of there misery...The suns are so much better of a club, but here they are 2-2...All I can hear are the obnoxious fans of Dallas saying Finals...

Suns, please get your head out of your asses and win the series already...

hate to say it, but as much as i want the suns to beat the mavs i think the injury bug has once again struck in the favor of the mavs. First they played us without Howard (I still think we could have beat them in 6 with howard playing) and now Joe Johnson going down for the suns. That already thin suns squad has gotten even thinner. Jimmy Jackson cant do everything that Johnson did, but if they didnt make that trade for JJax they'd be in worse shape.

man sucks that the mavs have an easier road to the wcf, much like in 2003 when the kings were dominating the mavs until CWebb went down.

We would have beat them in 5 or at most 6 with JH, and Phx would have beat them in 5 with JoeJ. But those are the breaks, our fellow Tx teams have got big ones late this season (JH, JoeJ, Radm, Lewis, Evans).

JJ has provided the big 4th qtr spark for the Suns w/ Nash on the bench.

    Excellent...happy for him.

The winner of game 5 usually wins the series. (Of course we all remember an exception from 11 years ago :D )

The Spurs better finish off the Sonics because I don't want the Suns winner in the NBA finals. I think the Sonics could be the Mavs but they are tailor made to lose to the Suns. The Spurs will finish the Suns off in 5 or 6.
