Ditto. They were exposed, but at the same time they ARE better than Baylor. Will Jesus save Baylor in the final 3 minutes!?

That's what freshmen do. He's never played in this kind of pressure on the road with a chance to beat a top 10 team. It's easier to play when you're ahead and then when you have to make must-have plays.

They never adjusted to Tech moving 8 men up into the box.....they kept trying to run into it....bad coaching.

It's on Griffin, not the coaches, at least on that possession. You absolutely have to get rid of the football. It's not complicated -- if you go down with the ball, short of the first down, you lose. At the very least, throw the ball up, like he did on that two-point conversion, and give your team a chance, no matter how small.

A win is a win...real gutsy job by tech without crabtree. If ou stumbles tonight I think tech will jump up to top 5...

As a ut grad, I'm happy with fiesta bowl....that's now best case scenario...I really believe that tech will be in championship game if sooners lose tonight.

i don't know how you can call that gutsy. the #7 team in the country at home against baylor....and they were able to squeak one out. i don't care if their WR was out or not. calling that gutsy is a gigantic overstatement.

A win is not a win, especially when you are relying on human polls.

This eeking out a win at home against a crappy Baylor team will keep them where they are, which is where they belong....not a top team.

Frustrating to watch BU this year. Close losses to UCONN, Mizzou, and now Tech.

I don't think there's any way Tech would jump to #2 if they win the Big 12. They are too far back in the computers.

LOLOL. Keep on dreaming. There is no way on planet earth that a team who in their last three games lost by 50 and then squeaked by Baylor at home (aided by officials) is going to play for the national title.

I'm trying to point out that not all 3 way ties are equal.

My reasoning is that with a Tech loss to Baylor, there's a two way tie, Texas trumps OU, and there won't be an argument from anyone. Nobody will argue how OU smacked Tech around, or how texas lost to tech. Texas > OU, clear cut, black and white, no room for argument in a two way tie.

But let's go one tiny step farther. Let's say Tech barely beats Baylor. Then we have a technical three way tie. Does the non-domination of Tech over Baylor open the floodgates of 39-33 and 65-21 and minimize 45-35? In my mind, while it is a technical three way tie, this situation is still pretty much a two way tie, so I refer to the paragraph above.

The only situation where things go from black and white to shades of grey is when Tech demolishes Baylor 70-3 without running up the score, and if OU beats OSU 45-35. Tech is once again presentable, and OU beats OSU but doesn't demolish them, so this three way tie is confusing.

IF OU demolishes OSU the way Tech Demolished OSU, then OU definitely gets teh edge for the BCS, and I'm a longhorn fan.

As for the two-way-tie-but-OU-demolishes-OSU scenario...I'll have to think about that.

They are far back in the polls, not the computers. They are currently #4 in the computers, and would jump OU and the SEC loser for sure, putting them at #2 there.

what a joke. i'm glad tech decided before the season that one of their goals was to make sure ou won the big 12 title. a strange goal, but they've pulled it off. they're the same ol' same ol' tech team we've always seen through the years, except they managed to fluke their way to a win over texas on our worst day and they didn't blow the nebraska game like they usually do once a year. then they just lay down for ou like they were paid off and then get the refs to help them to a win over baylor when a loss would have finally stopped them from helping ou for once.

i can't believe we have one loss and beat ou and we're not going to the CCG b/c tech picked their only year ever to not choke a few games and somehow beat us on a down day and then laid down for ou. weak.

Good game obviously alot closer than what I had predicted but oh well...

We are still in the same situation if we would have won by 50.

We are still rooting for OSU to win if they do Tech is in the Big 12 title game no debate about that one. We probaly will be underdogs now but thats why you play the gamess as we just witnessed.

Their SOS takes a hit this week with Baylor on the schedule similar to the hit we are taking with A&M.

Your team just pretty much ensured they won't be going to the NCG, though. You will not be underdogs if you go to the Big 12 CG, either.
