What a great game to watch! It wasn’t pretty either way but it was physical and not dirty. There were chances like crazy. An amazing ball by Acosta and an amazing finish by Robinson… But just beating mexico, AGAIN, for a tournament final is always the best. The world should pay attention to this rivalry.

One simple thing that concacaf could do promote the game in the region and make the gold cup more challenging would be to have other nations host it or some type of joint region thing. Say a rotation of canada/u.s. mex/central america and caribbean islands... but of course that would mean missing out on packed nfl stadiums and i dont think concacaf would ever allow that. Concacaf is a mickymouse region that simply exist to milk mexican fans in the u.s. Its the reason why they banned the mexico nt and clubs from playing conmebol competitions. why allow conmebol to profit from your cash cow? its the same reason why they made up the nations league and expanded the concacaf champions league.
