No. Half of the show features nude performers in the water.

Come on! If you go to Vegas not for gambling, then I think you should go to Disney.

    Just kidding.
I really don't know what more fun you can get except gambling.

I was in Vegas for New Years 2001-2002 and I will never do it again. The amount of people was just unreal - took forever to do anything or get anywhere. I've been to Vegas many other times and nothing compares to the number of people packed in that town on a NYE.

    Shows to see:

    O - Bellagio
    Mystere - Treasure Island
    Danny Gans - Mirage

    Places to stay (IMHO):

    Medium level price:

Paris - Nice place, right in the center of things. You can enjoy the Bellagio fountains without staying at the Bellagio. Good buffet and restaurants. Connects to Bally's which has a tram. High ceilings in the casino (cigarette smoke stays above you). Can often get rates from 69-89 a night.

Aladdin - Actually decent rooms with very nice bathrooms for the price. Good mall. High ceilings in the casino. Can often get rates around 59-79 a night.

Both of those places are in GREAT locations. Right in the middle of the strip. Not more than a 15-20 minute walk from any of the other mega hotels on the strip.

    High end:

Bellagio - Awesome. I've stayed as low as 129 a night on the lake view side...depends on seasonality and stuff.

Just got back from Vegas 2 weeks ago. There is a shark aquarium in Mandalay Bay that would be pretty cool for family fun. Also check out the water show in front of the Bellagio at night.

Don't worry, when you get there you'll be handed flyers encouraging you to participate in many savory activities.;)

I just got back from Vegas. Stayed at the Stratosphere for $29 a night. Strat is a very nice place, and the tower is awesome. But, it's so far away from the rest of the strip, I don't know if I'd stay there again. I did a lot of walking. I walked the whole strip from Strat to MGM twice. The coolest things I saw were:

Where 2pac got shot. It's at Koval and Flamingo approx.
    The Stratosphere tower
The various casinos inside -- my favorites were Paris, MGM, and Venetian. I didn't make it into a few of them, like Luxor, Bellagio, and Cesar's. Circus Circus had a lot of families in it. It was crowded as hell, too. I went Geocaching there in vegas a bit, and you can have a good time doing that.

I have a tough time thinking of family things to do, but I would definitely recommend taking the elevator up to the top of the stratosphere.

I got the deal about a month and a half ago from travelocity. It's a really nice hotel though. My room was one of the nicest I've stayed in.

    Oh I gambled . . . a little bit too much. Seriously, with a bit less restraint, I could easily become a gambling degernerate . . .
