Avoid Hooters at all costs. The casino is probably a couple of notches above Randy Quaid's casino in Vegas Vacation and it is a total sausagefest.

If you get lucky in the casinos and want a high-end meal...try the Capital Grille. It is inside the Fashion Show Mall. You'll drop between $50-100 per person...but the filet mignon is incredible. If you want a non-stop meat engorge-a-thon, try Texas De Brazil...it's a little south of Mandalay Bay at the Las Vegas Town Center. Dig around the internet for half off coupons or join thier e-club.

You're coming about four months too early...City Center is expected to open in December...and that is supposed to be a kickass entertainment complex.

btw Capital Grille is a chain restaurant owned by the same company as olive garden and red lobster. it doesn't mean that it isn't good but you don't need to go to vegas to eat there is what i am sayin'.

Clubblin/Bars is not my cup o tea, but I've been to Pure, Tao, Ghostbar, Coyote Ugly, and Lavo that I can remember (took me a while to remember a lot of those). They all seem just fine to me. They are all rooms with bars, so you and your friends are what will make the place fun and hoppin or not.

I don't think the VIP passes do anything for you. Having women with you will do much better. A group of guys trying to get in with a group of women will have much more success than a group of guys alone.

You can find 5 dollar tables at most casinos, but the more popular ones will raise their minimums during high traffic times of the day. Walk around and hunt, and you'll find your 5 dollar tables. If you plan on playing with 400 bucks, stick to the quarter slots and games like Pai Gow Poker. Your money will go longer. Blackjack depends on a few things on whether or not your 400 will last long enough for you.

Hoover Dam...not too sure. Never been in all my trips to Vegas.

I agree with another poster, get all the player cards. If you can't earn free rooms, you'll at least earn discounts on the rooms.

Have fun, wish I could be there.
