You know, JK Rowling gets a lot of people to come out and buy books, too. Maybe SHE should be President. And what, exactly, is wrong with cultural elitism? Shouldn't we, as a country, want our culture to be elite?
Based on my calculations, using the latest technology available to Palin fans, I conclude she is just fantastic!
As opposed to the intellectual brain trust for the Right acting like teenagers at a Miley Cyrus concert over Sarah Palin..
Her popularity is entirely organic. By all rights, she should be terribly unpopular, considering the ridicule she has endured from the gatekeepers of popularity, but she isn't. That's because her popularity derives from something much deeper and stronger than media hype. The people that ridicule her didn't make her, so they can't destroy her.
Palin isn't selling children's books, her popularity is political and cultural. The problem is the standard that defines elite (connections, schooling, money). They aren't sufficiently merit based. Palin's achievements are more substantial to her supporters than Obama's.
I'm devoted to a similar philosophy and worldview, and support those that espouse it and live it. Not the same.
I think they're pretty obvious! - Governor for half a term before quitting. - Writing a book full of inaccuracies. - Getting the vice presidential nomination and contributing to the GOP losing the presidency.
lol. And folks criticize obama supporters as "entranced"... Hilarious. What the heck is Palin's philosophy? I'm not sure she's even familiar with the basic elements of the word itself, nevermind an actual stance. What is her worldview? She has no opinions of intellectual merit; her ideologies are confused and nonsensical, her positions are incomprehensible, and her statements a jumbled mess of unintelligible talking points.
