Good lord. If there's anyone more ridiculous than Palin to be in the political spotlight, it's Joe-the-****ing-stupid-plumber. How does this guy still merit attention?

It's not a terribly witty article, but some parts of this are poignant, I think.

The more her support grows, the more petty and juvenille the ridicule becomes.

Anger begets bitterness begets cruelty, but it's powerless in the face of genuine goodness.

Like quitting your job of governor to pursue the monetary gain from an autobiography?

Sure, her book is a great read, well worth whatever she gets from me buying it. Generating income is a wonderful thing, she's got a family that needs financial security just like the rest of us.

That being said, it wasn't the reason she gave for resigning.

You are just a mean person.

I know I'm not good at playing this young man's game of forum posting and this being the only forum I visit, I so hope you don't represent the rest of the world of forum debates.

On the flip side, you might be a jolly good guy to hang with and you purposely put on this mean guy persona.

Idk. But you come across as a very unfriendly person.

more like 'the more she opens her mouth the more petty and juvenile she seems'. everything palin says or does is an absolute trainwreck of hilarity.

this whole palin phenomenon is nothing more than a manifestation of america's reality show/15 minutes of shame craze - the paris hilton-ization of politics.

i have never seen someone w/ the combination of belligerence and thin-skin. total ignorance and self-righteousness. just a total hypocrite.

im sick and tired of her and her supporters whining and playing the victim card all the time. in march 2008 she says that hillary clinton is complaining too much and playing the victim card...
“When I hear a statement like that coming from a woman candidate with any kind of perceived whine about that excess criticism, or maybe a sharper microscope put on her, I think, 'Man, that doesn't do us any good, women in politics, or women in general, trying to progress this country,' ” Palin said.

she has shown that she can dish it out, but she cant take it - she goes around calling herself a 'pitbull w/ lipstick' and making belligerent comments like saying obama pals around w/ terrorists or that he wants death panels, but criticize her and she is whining about it on facebook.

she made a big deal about letterman, but snl called her husband a pedophile and she was on their show the very next week, on the news w/ seth meyers, they very guy who made the joke.

she has a real problem w/ consistency (keeping her story straight) - she was for the bridge to nowhere before she was against it.

she didnt know what the bush doctrine was (is that a 'gotcha' question too?)

she thinks we have a department of law

    she goes to faith healers

she couldnt even make it thru her first term as governor

    but yeah - PALIN/PREJEAN 2012!!!

You're silly. All this because I called someone who thinks Sarah freaking Palin is "genuinely good" a sucker? I mean, come on. Support her if you want. That just makes you crazy and probably mean. But thinking she's "genuinely good?" That sucker got suckered.

You Fool! The evidence is on Fox news. Did you not see the throngs that have shown up at her book signings? It is as if she is drawing support equal to that of a presidential campaign and this is only for her to autograph a book she didn't write!

You're silly if you think this is about one "sucker" comment.

My memory is crap, which is why I don't debate well, but I do register all my feelings, categorically. And your comments generally falls under the "damn, why be such a dick head about it" column.

Again, and like I said earlier, you're probably a stand up, classy guy. I just don't see it in D&D. That's all.

LOL, and you're right. I am crazy and mean. But my awareness encourages me to strive to be nicer.

And again, maybe I'm just stupid for trying to hang out with a bunch of younger people in a forum in the 21st century.

    That makes sense.

    I'm out.

ps. I'm not looking for a kinder, gentler board. But I will state that I NEVER hear conversations like I read here...and I've worked in a bar.
