Izzo deserves another year. There was a lot of bad but some good too.

I expect to see Kubiak on TV sometime in the futue. He can no longer deal with the stress of coaching and why should he? Just look at how "stressed" Dungy, Gruden, and Cowher are from their TV gigs.

Norv Turner was just the offensive coordinator for the Vikings. He resigned last year on November due to personal issues. He does want to return to coach again.

um 610 radio guy HATE Brock. They all want him gone. If u are talking about Texans' radio (produced by the Texans), they won't criticize a player like that.

Can't help but think Godsey is a scapegoat for management. Bill Walsh couldnt turn Osweiler into a competent QB if his life depended on it.

Former UH QB and his dad is the long time trainer for the UH football program. I would think he would jump at the chance to come home and coach.

Typical scapegoat move. Godsey didn't make Osweiler throw 3 interceptions in the 2nd half, did he?

Lex Luthor won't learn from his mistakes and we'll just move on to another mediocre season next year.

What move would you have preferred, presuming they're not wanting to fire everybody?

You realize not firing everyone last time is why we're here now? Keeping Rick Smith?

If you don't want to start over with a new regime, then fire Rick Smith and make O'Brien the one guy in charge so there's no doubt who is responsible.

That still may happen... but regardless, they needed to upgrade the staff on the offensive side of the ball, and I find it comical for those overreacting and exclaiming that the Godsey firing is the panacea to cure everything, thus this organization is terrible.

The only people pushing that narrative is the fans who want to believe it. Of course Godsey wasn't the main problem... but he wasn't very good, and the fact remains that assistant coaches can usually come/go without much issue (vs. the more exhaustive methods in replacing a GM or cutting a player).

And "why we're here now?"... please. This organization has been in much worse shape over the years compared to where it is now, and relative to the rest of the league.

Maybe Godsey wasn't the main problem but getting an excellent OC may be the solution.

I thought I heard the announcers for a game once say the play calling was by committee, but Bill could overrule any play..
