well it is a direct contradiction to Ezekiel 33:11
"As I live, says the Lord God, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked"

But keep in mind that Psalm 37 was poetry written by David at a time when he was King and needed to keep the poor in line by giving them hope that the oppressive rich (the Trumps of the day) would eventually get their due. This is poetry written by David and meant to inspire, much like Maya Angelou wrote to inspire. It was not taken literally as Gods exact thoughts and words when it was read by the people of the day, and should not be taken literally today. In claiming univocality and inerrancy, Modern white fundamentalists have twisted the meaning of the Bible away from it's original intent, and they have done so with the purpose of maintaining the power structure they enjoy.
