I understood his actions, he was pissed, he stopped when he realized that Green was KO'd.....

Football is a violent sport.......and talking is part of the game......

    Big deal.

Also some of you may not remember Trent Green was all set to lead the Greatest Show on Turf back in 99 when in a Preseason game the NFL's reigning cheap shot artist Rodney Harrison promptly landed on his back leg and shredded Green's ACL.

The guy knows a little something about cheapshots.

This from someone who played alot of football like myself....thank you. If the rolls were reversed, TJ would met at every corner with pitch forks and flames. It's silly...WHO IS THE VICTIM? Because Trent Green got hurt? No, Travis was fortunate that he walked away because that could have been the worse knee injury since Willis Mcghee had Trent hit TJ's plant knee. It's always a black/white issue and that's wrong. And another thing...Trent Green is not some helpless QB. He's 6'4 and 220lbs. He could have easily knocked Travis off the path because it's obvious the Travis didn't see him.....So stop with the "it wasn't a blind side hit because Travis was facing that direction" mess.

No offense but that arguement is lame man. Smaller players block largers players all the time....ALL game long for that matter and do it clean; above the waste. Trent Green isn't some small helpless QB you're trying to make him out to be. 6'4 220....yeah, that's helpless  . Travis 6'4 300.....I'm thinking Trent could have unloaded on Travis, but he was scared of the contact plain and simple. He went for the coward way out and paid for it. A 6'3/ 6'4 220lbs QB is HIGHLY capable of making a clean block on any player of any size especially when that player doesn't know it's coming. Very weak on Trents part and you're making him out to be some helpless woman.

Are you kidding? Travis outweighs him by almost 100 pounds! 315 to 217. Travis was running full steam...Trent was basically stationary. Ever take a physics class? Doubtful.

And lets not forget that Trent plays QB...When was the last time he actually had to make a meaningful block? Meanwhile, Travis deals with contact on every single play.

Finally, lets throw in the little tid bit that Green is a 37 year old man who's had his fair share of significant injuries.

So, yes, in conclusion, I dont think any QB in Trent's position would have actually tried to lay a high block under those exact circumstances. I think the only one that would do that might be Brett Favre...dude's a gamer.

P.S. You're not the only one that has played football. You can add me to the mix. And yes, I do think it was a cheap shot by Green, but I can also understand his wanting to get the hell out of the way.

Trent Green was wrong. That block was too low.

But its amazing that some of you see nothing wrong with what TJ did. Because Green's block was ugly gives him the right to act like that?

Travis screwed up! Not by taunting Green, not by talking smack after the game, but him screwing up the Scarecrow analogy with courage!

Seems like Travis and the Scarecrow have more in common, they both don't have a brain!

For Green's sake, he shouldn't play football again, unless he wants even more brain damage. 2 concussions + more football is not good.

One guy committed a dirty play and got his silly ass deservedly knocked the F out. The victim of that dirty play understandably got angry and voiced his displeasure. I can't believe that some people are suggesting that these two actions are equivalent. To me, one is clearly worse than the other ... and considering one of these guys plays for the hometown team, I just have to say "F*CK TRENT GREEN!"

    .

After further thought ... "F*ck Trent Green" again.

Dangerous block by Green, but TJ has been classless to say the least -- front office needs to step in and give him a hefty fine.

If TJ is sitting on IR with a torn PCL and hyperextended knee right now with his career basically over all of these Trent Green defenders would be singing a different tune.

That should be made an illegal block by the league office, plain and simple.

The only thing TJ did that was wrong/unreasonable was spouting off to the press.

Are you the guy who first told me it was illegal earlier in the thread? I heard a lot of commentary yesterday, including Kubiak's comments, and you were right on the money.

    Thanks a kudos.

Any of you defending Travis Johnson after what he said after the game are complete idiots. The Texans aren't defending him.

If I had been a Dolphins player, and had seen him taunting Trent Green while he was unconsious, I would have gone over and laid his ass out. If I played him again, I would go for his knees everytime then kick him in the back of the head everytime I got up. I see that type of block in every football game. Trent Green went low because your told to go low when blocking a bigger man. Running Backs do it all the time in pass protection. He should grow up.

On a different tangent, I think Trent Green should retire after this concussion. He is risking his life out there at this point.
