in the last video most of that is his teammates fault. Dude knew the forward was right behind him and he didn't even tap towards the keeper, he just let the ball roll slowly to him allowing way too much time.

    Pepe's error was more fail

Actually, the only thing that would make that more terrible is if he proceeded to run off the field tossing his clothes behind him while on the brink of tears.

There was nothing wrong with what the defender did, he chested it back instead of kicking it so the keeper could use his hands. Instead of picking the ball up he decided to dribble and paid for it. That's 100% the keeper's fault.

I agree with DrLudicrous, and to add to that: the ball was way closer to the keeper getting to it instead of the forward. It was totally the keeper's fault because he moved the ball the same way the forward was running, instead of at least changing the ball's direction or a) hitting it out of bounds, b) going the opposite direction, or c) passing it to the open defender on the other side on first touch.

I guess he did not know that it was legal to pick it up either.

I play goal keeper but the dude knew how fast the FWD was coming. If he would have just cleared the ball he wouldn't have put his GK in that predicament. I guess It's just positional bias on my part.

^ I have played mostly midfield, but some defender, a little forwarding, and A LOT of GK, man. No way I would put the fault on the defender for that.

    THIS IS A TRUE GOALKEEPER:

Whenever I think of failure goalies, I think of this guy:

The keeper had the following options:
    1. Pick the ball up
    2. Boot the ball away (either up field or out of bounds)
    3. Cut the ball back the opposite way of the forward
    4. Dribble into the path of the forward

As a keeper which one of those would you have chosen? Unless your Higuita you shouldn't be choosing either of the last two options, especially number 4.

How about the defender shielding the FWD away from the ball? I'm not saying a GK worth his weight in salt shouldn't just boot that **** out of there but still. FWD could have did him a solid.

It's clearly the keeper's fault, but that isn't really the point why it is thread-worthy. The funny part is him subbing himself out by taking off his shirt and running off the field.
