We'll.. I still think it was the best deal back then. Phoenix never included Joe Johnson, just Marion, and Marion's playoff flameout didn't help his stock. Steve might not be the best #1 player to build your team around, but Marion will always be a supporting star. Pippen is his roof..not a bad roof, but hey, Francis and Mobley or Marion and Barbosa? I'll take Francis and Mobes (+Cato too). Francis had a terrible 2nd half, but an amazing 1st half of the season. He still has 25, 7 and 7 potential. Though some Magic fans diss on Steve now, he's still their best player (until Howard blossoms), but their coach was bad. Weisbrod is still a jerk and did mess up bad, but that was trading Mobley for a knowingly injured Christie and saying it was for cap purposes ( a total lie b/c their contracts were the same ).
