They have actually begun losing some ratings battles over the past year or so, and even worse for them, their viewership demographic skews heavily to the 50+ side of things, which does not equal $$$, at least to advertisers.

Basically the same as the Republican party - as their audience shrinks, get fringier and kookier.

This is very true. Didn't Beck last for a brief time at CNN, before the network wised up and said adios?

Do you believe the other presidents were partial to white? If not then why should Obama be?

If so, then its time someone else gets the partiality.

Everyone is inherently racist to some degree. We all have what we know and what we are comfortable with. The question is, does a person's likes/dislikes affect his judgment. If the answer is no, then let it be. Thus far, I can't see any of Obama's policies dictating that. If he pulled a Chappelle and offered each black person in America $20 Million in reparations, then maybe I'd listen to the argument. Until that happens, give the guy some credit.

And to Glenn Beck, a good one from second grade: "He who smelt it, dealt it". You're the one letting out racist farts my friend.

See the problem is people like you. Glen Beck is an obviously getting rich making statements that get under the skin of off the deep end libs like yourself. Most normal people realize that there is a place somewhere between freaks like Glen Beck and freaks like yourself.

You should visit the Oklahoma City Bombing memorial sometime, maybe you wouldn't make off color snide comments about the second most horrific terrorist event in America History where 168 Americans died including 19 babies and children. Jerk.

No, he got in trouble for looking like he was breaking into his own home when police responded to a call to protect his home from what they thought could be burglars, and then he acted like a racist idiot towards the police, and...

...that is why he got in trouble.

Uh, yeah. That was the point of my statement, don't you think? You can spin it whatever way you want, that was my point. Cable news does what's best for ratings. Television, in general, does that. Nothing surprising, nothing new that a news outlet will push the limit (i.e. Beck) to do well in ratings/dollars. Not to mention that every major news outlet covered this story for days...why? It's racial and brings ratings.

Hence, my statement: it's what wrong with cable and most television news...

I wasn't. I'm sorry. Tell me your version of the events? Maybe I'm missing something.

Once again, read the rest of the post, I'm tired of responding to your quotes of me where you don't read the whole post. He got in trouble because he looked like he was breaking into his home which prompted police response to the situation where he acted "stupidly" towards the police.

I didn't say he got in trouble because he looked like was breaking into his own home, and then stop there...now did I?

No...it's not...it just led up to the event that got him in trouble. He didn't have to act like he did after the police arrived. The rest was up to him...

I've had police arrive at my house and respond to a possible burglary, I'm a minority...I'm not white, and I didn't do what he did...like I said, the rest was up to him...

OK so it's fine for Glenn Beck to mouth frothy lunatic fringe B.S. about internement camps and race wars, and to make millions of dollars doing it - but for me to mention this and how it tends to stir up the crazies is a profane trespass.

The fact of the matter is that if you take an extreme anti-government, pro-gun ideology preached by many republicans (including yourself) and carry it to its conclusion with the more rabid members of their so-called base, things like Oklahoma city, Eric Robert Rudolph, Waco, etc are the predictable result. That's why the FBI monitors these people.

Obviously this makes you feel guilty - which it should. Think about the memorial next time you start mouthing off about the evil federal government.

"he acted like a racist idiot towards the police"

Golly. And all this time I thought he was ticked off for being confronted by a policeman at his own home. After returning from a trip. After returning from a trip and having a hard time getting into his house. After returning from a trip to China, having a hard time getting into his house, and being helped getting his door open by his driver, a Morrocan immigrant. After returning from a trip to China, having a hard time getting into his house, and being helped getting his door open by his driver, a Morrocan immigrant, and then being astonished to find a police officer at his door, demanding identification. He gets ticked off. That makes him a racist? What world do you live in, buddy? Disney World? With all due respect.

Oh FYI I don't feel a bit guilty because I am not the person you would like to generalize me as.
