Rice is out of shape. Rudy is getting him as much PT to try to play him into shape. Rice will be critical as the season wears on cause Rice can put up a lot of points w/out much effort.

Consider Rice's PT as an investment in time. Hopefully it will pay off. It sure would make life easier. :)

Plus 2 preseason games, and he sucked in those too! So a total of 5 games and he has sucked bad in every one. Just watch. You guys are gonna be making excuses for him next month saying something like, "he's only played in 25 games, give him a break!"

What game are you watching? The guy didn't suck tonight! He shot 45% from the field and got 10 points and 3 rebounds in 26 minutes of action. It's obvious he is working himself back into shape. 5 games and people are complaining about the guy! Let him get into playing shape and learn the system.

You guys are gonna be making excuses for him next month saying something like, "he's only played in 25 games, give him a break!"

Nobody is making excuses. It's a fact that the guy hasn't been able to practice. Anybody who knows basketball knows that if you have been able to work out all offseason you're not going to be in playing shape, and everybody knows that you can't learn a new system in 5 games. If the guy is stinking up the joint in 25 games so be it. At least we would have given the guy a chance to get into shape and learn the system without complaining about him the first week of the season, and saying "Look I told you he sucked" after his 6th game of the season.

After reading this entire page of comments about what to do with Rice, I am glad that none of you have any decision making power with the Rockets

Rice looked a lot better last night, and no doubt that trend will continue as he goes through his "preseason". Even Mooch said that was what was going on with himself too...

Give them a break, they're 3-1, should be 4-0, and folks are just now getting healthy and learning to play together. They are finding ways to win, which is the best quality any team can have. :)
