His numbers aren't all that different from last season when he was first team NBA. His shots per game went down when he went to Boston due to Allen and Pierce and consequently so did his PPG. But he's still shooting above 50%, above 80% from the line and getting 9 rebounds per game. Sounds like a has been to me.
The Rockets have been lacking a Mario Elie for years. Unfortunately, during our pu$$y streaks that we go through each season, that kind of leadership would help. Calling KG washed up is ridiculous. Don't let your dislike for a player force to you miss the good things he does. You may not like him or even feel like he's somewhat of a divisive force within the team element, but he was LEADING here. If somebody would get after Yao after looks exhausted 10 minutes into the game, or tell McGrady to quit the limping that disappears and reappears throughout the game, this team would play like a fire had been lit under its ass. But they won't. We don't have that guy.
I couldn't tell for sure from the youtube video if he was crying or not, but ANYTHING IS POSSSSSIBBBBLLLLEEE.
Would hate to have seen Big Baby on the Bill Russell teams. Auerbach woulda taken care of it before it even go to Russell, and Red mighta dumped him off the team just on principle.
I can't help but feel bad for Big Baby. He's a really nice guy. But the 2nd unit gave a terrible effort on the court. The least he could do is listen to the b****ing. They deserved it. Hottoddie is right. Big Baby or not, if Glen Davis is a man, we will see him be focused on the court with something to prove to KG and the rest of the team. If he breaks down and washes away into oblivion, then he will have truly earned his nickname and holds no place on a professional team. I hate KG for all his antics, but he did nothing wrong. We need someone like that to light into Tracy and Yao.

He really is crying, it's like his dad yelled at him for doing something and Davis responds like "I didn't want to it wasn't my fault!"
To be honest KG actually did do a good thing. If only we can get Ron to do that too, but doesn't have the type of IQ KG does (which is pretty damn high, not saying Ron has low IQ). IMO, we need to see more of this coming from our stars. We actually see this once in a while in McGrady, where he yells at Scola and Landry (ironically just the PFs). The time landry stood next to McGrady he got pissed and immediately grabbed a few boards afterwards. McGrady needs to do that, he is one of those players with a very high IQ, but he shows no passion. Sure he may have it, but action speaks louder than words. At this moment he speaks too much, it's now time for action. Hopefully, his 3 week rehab will be the beginning of his action speaks louder than words. And when I mean action, I don't mean getting in to fights every couple of games.
I think this was a case where Davis respected KG a little too much, like a father figure. When KG scolded him, it made him feel like crap and the emotions just over-flowed. You don't see that too often from a grown man, but I guess it just goes to show what the nature of the relationship was between Davis and Garnett. If Garnett talks to him and handles this the right way, it can be a positive thing for Davis.
Washed up? Man, I know KG has a reputation as a jerk but you are out of your mind. You could trade Yao and Tmac for KG and the Rockets would be a better team for it. I would hardly called that being washed up.
hahaha. That's money right there. I was wondering when someone else was going to mention the magical limp that disappears and reappears depending on how well McGrady is shooting throughout a game.
