I wear glasses. I'd like to wear contacts, but the thought of touching my eye freaks me out, I just can't do it.

I didn't like wearing contacts. The actual wearing of them didn't bother me much (mostly late in the day), but I hated putting them in, taking them out, and cleaning them. Glasses are a lot less hassle.

its very weird the first few days, but it becomes second nature pretty quickly.

i got glasses at 15 and at 25 started getting contacts - 35 now. i get the soft ones that last anywhere from 1-2 years and then they start gettting cloudy on you. you have to take them out at night. i know a few people who have done the laser surgery, but i cant do it - what im doing now works for me so im not going to change it up.

You aren't alone. I've known probably half a dozen people over the years that have had the same problem. Personally, I couldn't handle putting soft lenses in and aking them out. Gas permeable lenses, the "hard" ones, were easy for me. Go figure!

Neither. Save up your money and get corrective surgery. I wore glasses since I was about 8, and tried contacts for about a year in high school. I hated both of them. So I took the plunge on LASIK two years ago and couldn't be happier.

contacts are a real hassle. I only wear them when I go out on the weekends or go skiing/other sports. Glasses are just a lot easier although I don't like them too much. I plan on getting lasik at some point

You know I actually started out with glasses and it wasn't until high school that I made the switch to contacts. I can't remember too much why, but it was probably a combination of me not being responsible enough yet and my doctor just not recommending it (probably for the reasons you said).

Hard contacts do take some getting used too, but once you're get comfortable with them, you don't even know you're wearing them. Seems like a hassle though, people who wear soft lenses, to keep filling your prescription. Pus those things are so huge.

Honestly I found glasses to be a hassle. I'm fine wearing them late at night. But all day, every day...you ALWAYS know they're on your face, you wear 'em for a long time the bridge of your nose might start to get a little irritated, gotta worry about breaking 'em, your field of vision is reduced.

Contacts, you put 'em on in the morning and take 'em off at night. Takes a few minutes to clean them. As long as the contacts aren't dirty you don't notice them at all.

I live in the mountains and it gets really dry up here. My contacts dry very easily and it irritates my eyes. I don't notice my glasses on my head most of the time, but I always feel the contacts in my eyes. I have daily ones, so I don't have to clean them. I just often times find it frustrating putting them in and taking them out.

I use glasses, only to watch the TV or the computer, maybe I should wear all the time, but meh.

I dont like contacts, its too much hassle for me.

Im considering doing the lasik surgery, so if I have the money, I will do it.
