I would say it depends on our lineup, but no matter what (even though people will think I'm crazy), I'd go Lakers. We play our best ball against them, and I think our matchups are better against them.

...I'm not sure we make the playoffs let alone have the luxury to get a choice in playing anyone else but the 1 seed(likely the Lakers). Face it, this is another lost year for the Rockets....

How is it a lost year if they've only played 23 games, that's barely 1/4 of the season, we're only 3 games from teh 8th seed, and with Portland declining when we're just getting our stride, this season is no where near lost.

Spurs by far. We always play them hard and match up very well with them. The Spurs will never blow us out in any game. Ishmael Smith ran point and we still almost beat them.

Mavs second. Too much firepower. Dirk Nowitzki. Jason Terry. Nuff said.

Lakers 3rd. No team is beating them in the west.

I think we'd match up very well against the Spurs. Yes we lost to them earlier in the season, but we had the game won if Courtney Lee would have made his FTs in regulation - and this was AB and ISH at point.

Substitute Lowry for Ish and a well-playing Jordan Hill - i think we'll be in good shape.

I think we'll surprise a lot of teams and the media in January

I predict we'll meet up with the OKC Thunder who will proceed to thrash us with our lack of a superstar or length and athleticism. If we even make the playoffs, that is.

Spurs easily- reason timmy is still old. They may be playing great now, but last year they were limping by playoff time, and I don't expect it to be any different this year. Manu and Parker are both prone to wear and tear.

Then again, going by this logic, Kidd and Dirk are both pretty old too, but I don't think their production drops off the way his does.

Lakers- I wouldn't mind I guess, but the problem is they have a history of turning it on when it counts in the playoffs, and although that's kind of hokey-pokey, I'd still rather not be on the receiving end...

    Spurs.

LA can mess around and still beat you a lot of the time.
When they really turn it up, we probably can't beat them in a 7 game series.
Also, Kobe is that guy who scares me the most through the 4th quarter.

Mavs because theyre perennial chokers. But I'd rather see the Mavs in Round 2, since we'll be TAKING THEIR 2 SEED FROM THEM YEAH BOY.

Lakers. We take our game to another level when we play them. We would probably lose but it would still be fun to watch.

Definitely not Dallas, cause I don't think I could handle losing to them and having to see Jason Terry and Mark Cuban's smug faces.

Dallas! Mainly because they choke in the playoffs and it would be sooooo sweet to beat Dallas in the first round. Talk about bragging rights; it wouldn't matter how poorly (or well) we play in the 2nd round as long as we knock out Dallas!
