Stock market rose 138% while socialist Obama was POTUS. It more than doubled. (I would've written a longer reply, but I doubt I can convince someone who can so blatantly disregard POTUS's inner circle being found guilty of felonies).

Momentarily (single quarters) -- over 8 years. Another poster bragged the market went up 138% but it was so low at his start that the stat is not very impressive -- especially in comparison to what Trump has done is less than two years.

They do not permanently lose free speech. History is full of examples of high ranking military personal attempting to usurp the government in power. You do not want military leaders out there encouraging rebellions or retaliations in the name of 'free speech'. When one is that high up in the military, they have plenty of other means to voice their concern than riling up the ignorant masses into a frenzy. No, McRaven was not doing anything of this sort, however a public letter directed to the President this time could lead to a more aggressive letter next time, further escalating each time.

What the irrational Trump haters fail to realize is Trump is our President for 4 years. He is halfway through his term. Instead of focusing hateful energy towards Trump, focus on finding his replacement now. Just like how the Republicans are the party of resistance and no answers, the Democrats are doing the same exact thing in regards to the Presidency. All we hear about is Trumps ignorant tweets, dumb decisions, constant hostility, but very few are suggesting a solution. If 2019 comes around and Democrats have another massive turd like Clinton on the ticket because they haven't spent the time to find a decent candidate, ill be throwing away my vote towards a 3rd party.

    bingo

O inherited the W's economic mess, did the heavy lifting to put the economy on strong footing toward generating >70 consecutive months of job creation > 100K. he left office w the DOW nearing the all-time high.

Traitor Trump inherited a healthy economy, 70+ consecutive mo of job growth; by comparison, Trump didn't have to do any heavy lifting.

lets ompare O's first 2 years in office to Traitor Trump.

O successfully bailed up the financial industry. added stability. the stock market increased ~ 50%

Traitor Trump's erratic behaviors, war threats to NK and trade war, has added much volatility; the stock market has been flat

And maybe the rest of us simply don't want a crook as president. Go figure.

Heh... President Obama's accomplishment (decreasing unemployment dramatically, boosting the stock market dramatically) are not that impressive since employment and the market were so low when he became president.

    Yea, that makes sense...

Correct. But when Trump compares his GDP numbers to Obama Trump is using his own quarterly only numbers and trying to compare them to Obama's numbers for a whole year.

Wow, this is quite delusional. If Trump goes down, Pence is going to cause all of that? Not to mention that Trump would NOT cause most of that. If you haven't notice, we have been riding the 7+ years Obama's recovery and Trump is doing his darnest to stop it.

Trump going away is a more likely a great thing for our children future (depending on Pence). See EPA new policy that cause up to 1400 premature deaths, 48000 new cases of asthma and 21000 missed days of school annually. Then consider a climate change denier in charge. Then consider the tax package that is reverse robin hood that put extreme pressure on social services... and so on.

Oh, and morality and basic decency... Children do listen and see what's going on. Trump as the leader of the free world isn't such a good role model you know.

I would think a man of your seeming integrity and conscience of belief would not be so supportive of such a morally and intellectually unfit man besmirching the reputation of our country.

Do you really believe this abomination (I don't use his name) is good for the future of this country? Really?

Your first point is an excellent one. However, Article 88 (at least as posted -- I haven't independently researched it) did seem to take away the ability to speak contemptuously. That appears to be curtailment of free speech. I understand not wanting to foment a military coup. But, taking away the ability to criticize -- and have it hinge on whether someone else views it as contemptuously -- seems awfully like a constitutional violation.

Granted, President Trump was my second to last choice for the highest office in the land. Unfortunately, Hillary was my last choice -- and by a wide margin. However, despite his tweets and twats, Mr. Trump has been a real plus for the nation, something I could not say about Obama's years (Fast and Furious, Bengazi, etc. and using the IRS, FBI and the Justice Department for political partisanship.

Keeping in mind what has been unfolding for the last two years, think about what you just said.

My gosh... it amazes me what republicans/conservatives/trump defenders will say to justify supporting trump. "Despite his tweets and twots" as if the only bad thing about trump is his tweets. Completely ignoring the the growing number of crooks in trump's campaign, administration and organization (and maybe even family). And completely ignoring the growing evidence that trump himself is a crook. Heck, just yesterday, trump's personal lawyer implicated him in a criminal act.

We're way way past "tweets and offensive behavior".

I do and I have. I'm a firm believer in Shakespeare's axiom, "The truth will out." If you would read something more than the NYTimes or listen to something more than CNN, you would agree with me that the slow peeling of the Deep State onion shows the sheer corruption of the Obama-Hillary axis.

And I'm a fan of Occam's Razor because as your man Rudy said, "truth isn't truth" now is it?

There is zero evidence that Obama or Hillary used either the IRS, FBI, or Justice Department for political partisanship. Those agencies are filled with folks that range the spectrum of political leanings. In addition, they are currently headed almost entirely by Republicans.

There were investigations into Fast and Furious, Benghazi, etc. The investigations weren't done by CNN or the NY Times. They were headed by Republicans in Congress. We know what happened there.
