I agree that our rebounding especially defensive rebounding has been catastrophically bad which allows opponents far more possessions. A large part of that is our defensive scheme of switching forces our competent rebounders to not be in a defensive rebounding position. That's all on the coaching staff and their inability to adjust defensive schemes in game. Our constant switching also allows cupcake interior paint defense as our most competent paint defenders such as Faried and Capella to not be anywhere near the paint.
This quote makes it seem like you want to minimize CP’s performance in your defense of Harden. CP has looked better and better each game he has been back. Not just the one game narrative you keep pushing. This quote and others you have posted to this thread don’t show any excitement about Saturday’s win. They show resentment. My reading comprehension is just fine home boy.
I'm not questioning his effort. I'm stating that he can be easily frustrated when calls don't go his way and it has a very tangible effect to how he plays the following possessions relative to other star players. I'm not going to question his passion for the game.
... I don't get why you're saying "trash" narrative then. What's this narrative you don't want to hear?
You really don't have be a dick about it. I'm asking you a question to establish your position properly.
i wasn't trying to be. i said it's pretty odd when its pretty much emphasized what thread you're posting in. certainly isn't my narrative
yeah, the thread is very generic. It establishes Tuck, G money being trash, which they've been sporadically. It doesn't specify what "other trash" is. it is assumed. if you ask me, the ones who needed their game to return the most badly were: CP, Tuck, G money, now Rivers, and even EG. this was the best game CP has had this season, period. the other games he played in doesn't even come close to this. Tuck has had good games in Nov/Dec, and tapered off afterwards. this was terrible to witness, i never want to count him out, but he has been trash. G money has had some good games, but has been largely unreliable. he's inconsistent, and consequently, a black hole, a replica of what EG has been a lot of times, without the drive to the rims. i shrug off Faried and Capela. Capela's numbers are down compared to last season, but it would be ridiculous for me or anyone else to ask more of him with no other big man around him until now. Faried obviously has only been here a short while, he gets some slack for that. i'll give you that the thread is an emotional overreaction to the "hope Harden learns from this" thread, but i'm inclined to agree that this team isn't going to go that far without Harden.
its already been posted that no one expects the rockets to win a title without harden. that's not a revelation. good luck finding someone that says otherwise theres nothing being assumed here. "This team will be trash without harden" "Green, tucker and all the other trash" is as clear as day. and guys are labeled as role players for a reason. you won't find a role player that is good every single night. otherwise they wouldn't be considered role players. those type of guys become actual stars and beyond.
some idiots bumped the "Trade Harden" thread, which should be fking locked. i can agree partially to anything. if the poster is calling Faried and Capela trash, and is assuming the other players are always trash, not just most of the time, then i'd obviously disagree with that portion. i don't agree with what you're saying about role players. plenty of role players have consistent play, and plenty of star players have inconsistencies as well. it's not like i'm asking the role players to give me 3/6 from 3. anything equal to or above 1/4 is all i ask, and i'll be happy. it's also the eye test. were you open when you shot the 3, and did you make it?
it was bumped without any actual content. doesn't have anything to do with whats being discussed. find me actual role players spread league wide that play well every night then. ill wait
Lot of people argue he's only an all-star because of the lack of talent in the East. it's not that hard to disagree. Joe Harris Brook Lopez Harrison Barnes you need more?
then those people dont watch enough middleton. considering none of those guys play well every night yes do so. you actually tried to use lopez and barnes as examples. two guys notoriously known for their inconsistencies and being overvalue. you really need to get in touch with reality as far as what actually happens outside of the rockets Joe harris gamelog Fri 11/30 vs MEM L 125-131 0 0-0 .000 0-0 .000 0-0 .000 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 Wed 11/28 vs UTAH L 91-101 29 2-4 .500 2-4 .500 2-2 1.000 2 2 0 3 1 0 8 Sun 11/25 vs PHI L 125-127 30 4-10 .400 1-5 .200 0-0 .000 3 0 1 1 4 2 9 Fri 11/23 vs MIN L 102-112 34 5-13 .385 4-10 .400 4-4 1.000 6 4 0 0 3 2 18 Wed 11/21 @ DAL L 113-119 28 3-11 .273 1-7 .143 1-2 .500 3 4 0 1 6 2 8 Tue 11/20 @ MIA W 104-92 28 4-10 .400 0-5 .000 3-4 .750 3 0 0 0 3 1 11 Sat 11/17 vs LAC L 119-127 30 7-11 .636 2-3 .667 3-5 .600 1 4 0 1 3 0 19 Fri 11/16 @ WSH W 115-104 25 3-9 .333 1-6 .167 2-2 1.000 5 1 0 1 2 2 9 Wed 11/14 vs MIA L 107-120 25 4-8 .500 1-3 .333 2-2 1.000 4 3 0 0 4 0 11 Mon 11/12 @ MIN L 113-120 34 3-15 .200 2-9 .222 0-0 .000 6 1 0 0 3 0 8 Sat 11/10 @ GS L 100-116 21 9-12 .750 4-6 .667 2-2 1.000 1 2 0 1 4 2 24 Fri 11/9 @ DEN W 112-110 27 4-6 .667 2-2 1.000 1-1 1.000 4 0 0 1 4 3 11 Tue 11/6 @ PHX W 104-82 28 5-11 .455 1-6 .167 0-0 .000 0 1 1 0 2 0 11 Sun 11/4 vs PHI W 122-97 29 4-6 .667 3-4 .750 0-0 .000 1 3 0 1 2 1 11 Fri 11/2 vs HOU L 111-119 32 7-9 .778 4-4 1.000 0-0 .000 2 4 0 0 4 0 18 November
Brook Lopez had a whopping 9 games total where he shot below 25% from 3. Joe Harris had 11 such games. Lets compare to PJ, G money. G money: 15 Tuck: 18
ok and? that merely tells me a role player is inconsistent. which i already knew. not surprising and did you use 25% as a benchmark to make it sound better in your case. yeah looks like it. and for the sake of your logic BL actually has 12 games under 25% including some 0 outings
