Yeah, go demand that your boss give you a raise and give him no reason as to why you deserve it and come tell me how that goes for you.

Or better yet, tell the judge in court that you "just know" you're innocent/he's guilty. That's sure to work, right?

Working "for a while" means it didn't work at all because she became a millstone around his neck. Not only that, she will remain so for the party. In 2012, the GOP nominee probably will either seek her endorsement or "kiss her ring" in order to solidify support of the base. Neither of these is good. She will continue to be a thorn in the GOP for years, so it really does matter. Palin would be a complete zero as a national figure if McCain hadn't selected her. His gift to America.

I doubt it. She is a talk show host in 2012 or promoting her second book. All hard core conservatives hated McCain and he got decent support from the base.

I wasn't clear. The GOP candidate will always get great support from the base, the problem is how hard does the candidate have to reach to solidify that support without alienating centrists, "moderates" and independents. With Palin out there, the tightrope might be harder.

lol. 'you don't feel' eh? I wonder how you came to that conclusion.

But then again, seeing as how you came to the conclusions you did in the second part of your post, maybe it's understandable.

I am not sure people hate Sarah Palin as much as think she's an idiot worth ridiculing. Frankly, the ONLY respectable thing about her is Trig. That's great. I think it take a real compassion and dedication to raise a child with special needs. I haven't heard anyone be negative to her about Trig. That's crazy!

I have heard people be negative towards her for her lack of experience, her lack of knowledge, her constant repetition of catch-phrases and cliches, the emptiness of her arguments, the hyprocricisy of her positions and statements, and the fact that she is insecure, defensive, ramblings, and in no way reflects positively as a statesman on behalf of our country.

    She's also crazy.

But you know what, I think you need to show this hate for her and that it is indeed based on Trig - because I haven't seen any evidence about that. If anything, people have made fun of naming your child "trig" but not for having a down-syndrome baby.

    Intimidate you?

I think you have that confused with "trying to help you stop sucking at life".

What are the odds on when Palin appears on Dancing With the Stars?

I predict it will be the highest rated show ever.

    Must see TV.

agree - palin was the 'hail mary' pass that gave his campaign a temporary shot in the arm. it was a move made out of desperation.

didnt they only meet twice before he picked her? even if his staff vetted her, it would seem like you would want to get to know your runningmate a little better than that.

ironic, coming from someone who claims that people hate sarah palin b/c she didnt abort her downs syndrome baby and who refuses to provide one iota of proof to backup said claim.

what type of proof could really be used to prove or more importantly disprove this?

I will submit nothing will do either. Certainly no link like people were asking for.

Which is why it is ridiculous to make this inflammatory and ludicrous assertion as if it were a fact. And after getting called out on it, he proceeds to act like a juvenile.

Asking for proof was probably done to make a point more than anything. Instead of either shutting up or addressing the issue, he basically sticks his tongue out instead. Give me a break.

As soon as freaking possible. It will be the highest rated show ever, and it won't hurt her chances down the road, especially now that we've had McCain, Obama and a former First Lady on Smackdown/Raw during primary season. She's actually in pretty decent shape, so she might do fairly well. Politics and pop culture are going to get a lot more intertwined down the road. The most expensive and important part of campaign is the round-the-clock ad time; and as excruciating as it is to watch glorified school board members doing the Soulja Boy on Kimmel, getting the same level of exposure while completely bypassing the fundraising and consulting process is probably too tempting for most pols to pass up.

I don't know why I'm jumping into this thread. I know it's a bad idea.

But hey, I thought I'd just reiterate the simple, reasonable, civilized question which has already been asked several times, and has gone unanswered:

...any links to back up this "people hate Palin because she refused to abort" claims?

Not asking for opinion. Won't listen either way. Don't want to argue. Would simply like to see, say, 3 examples of what you repeatedly cite as fact.

There is zero reason why you should not be able to do this.

I do not know how a "link" could be provided that proves this. Especially not for this crowd. Even if there is such a thing, what are the chances that anyone who is asking for this would accept it as "proof"? Absolutely zero.

As far removed from the experience of most people on this board as this appears to be, I actually take the initiative to make my own observations about certain situations, perform my own analysis and reach my own conclusions. I do not need a link for everything I say, as I have developed the habit of thinking for myself and generating my own "content".

Rather than me looking for links to someone else's writings on this topic, perhaps other people will want to link to what I have written here.

Rail on liberals. It seems I have struck a nerve. Listening to the you guys hate on Sarah Palin reminds me of this sage prophet of the left:
