now, if as your post suggests Palin knew about the condition her fetus had early enough for the possibility of an abortion, and she CHOSE not to abort it, then I consider that the height of selfishness and ignorance.. if you could save your child the pain of growing up as a special needs kid, you DO IT..

He should have left the lights out (see his signature). That post is an embarrassment to pro-choice advocates. It is a very difficult, very private and personal decision. While I know some women who have had abortions, I don't know a single one who talks about it (except perhaps to a close friend), or feels "good" about it.

Wouldn't Palin having an abortion be political suicide? From what I can tell, the right is pro-life for the most part. She would instantly be shunned by her party. Having an abortion, even if the child has a mental disorder, would likely be deeply frowned upon by her constituents. That's why I don't really see her having a downs syndrome baby as some sort of "look how good of a person she is." Having that baby should be the status quo. Not having it would speak volumes (negatively), but having it doesn't speak anything, to me.
I love that they create new accounts just to tell people to "nut up." Seems like they could have used their old ones for something so banal.
