I voted to give up Hill before PatPat. Last season, after the trade I was very high on Hill. He showed some really great potential.

My concern after seeing him in summer league is not so much his poor play and effort, but that it was apparent that he spent no time in the weight room in the offseason.

He gets pushed around way too easily. It would be so invaluable to have him able to play backup center, but he just can't hold post position.

He has a large frame and it seems that he could add a lot of muscle if he wanted to.

His lack of motivation has been questioned and that's a huge red flag for me. Still hope he can put it together and at least become a solid rotation guy.

Wouldn't really care either way if Melo is obtained, but I'm leaning towards keeping Hill, since we already know what he can do, whereas Patterson is somewhat of an unknown so far. Hill also has more upside and can help Yao out on the boards with his size and athleticism.

Agreed. Give them anyone but Brooks, Martin, Scola and Yao everyone else is replaceable.

I think the Patman has more potential than Hill. He has already shown promise in the summer league, while Hill still has questions about his play.

Despite playing with no effort or interest, Hill clearly had a much better summer league than Paterson. Hill displayed superior talent than Paterson.
