This team is actually ahead of schedule. We weren't even expected to reach the playoffs last season. Everyone's now ambitious and out for blood, which is why people are calling for Lin and Asik to be dealt (even though they're a big reason why the team got so far).
Well said Lou. I'm sure the coaching staff will figure things out and iron out all these problems. With that said though, I think the frustration stems not from the fact that we lost just 2 games, but from the return of bad habits and seeing a regression in a couple of our players. Hopefully the right adjustments can be made asap. Can you imagine the GARM is we lose the next 4 games? Frightening.
Growing pains. It's going to be a bumpy start but I hope they can get this group to mesh and really get into the groove around February. I'd rather Rockets have a slow start then peak during playoffs time rather than them have a hot start just to flame out in April.
Well we are still on track to go 80-2. j/k OP--nice post, I agree. We have to remember that the coaching staff is also extremely inexperienced, like you mentioned. That means we will lose the close games due to crappy coaching because close games is when the skill of the coaches is comes out. That said, I have already seen improvements from the coaching staff since last season, but still there remain a bunch of strategic coaching screw ups and lack of leadership.
They have shown flashes of brilliance. They just need time to consistently put it all together. I thought our defense vs the Clippers tonight was very good. We just kept missing shots. Harden's been off from 3 point land this season, but his defense today I thought was very good. Remember Miami started off poorly their first season together before taking off.
I sick of harden r****ded plays...If he suck, you know we gonna lose. His down syndrome affects the whole team.
Nah, if we aren't ready to win the title right now we might as well axe the coach and ship out our stars and start all over.
Everyone needs to get healthy. I just don't trust Mchale especially against the elite tier coaches. If you see a player stinking it up out there turnover wise pull him out versus watching the guy lose our 12 point lead.
I wish they had some time to REST. They have 17 back-to-backs this year, unfortunately, while OKC has 9.
