It's pretty funny. You are basically saying that we fans can't expect Rockets players like AB a second year PG or Ron who said all the right things all the time, to be professional in the game? You are also saying that our head-coach, with a pretty long and impressive resume, can't ask or draw a play for your current highest paid player who's single-covered, in critical moments of an important game? The only way for a player to show he really "wants" it, is to be an aggressive a$$ on the court to curse his teammates? And in your opinion, that's the only way for the highest paid player to get the ball? LOL. Why do we need a coach then?

    Yao is team player.
If teamates dont pass him the ball, he thinks they must saw something coming, because Yao dont know what happens behind his back.
    IT the teamates' fault.

We will see more Yao next game.
But i only trust Lowry to be the answer to end this problem for ever.

i don't see yao has that in him. and i don't see that as his fault. yao only has that on his national team, from what i've heard.

but self-claim being "the man" doesn't get you there, either. don't have to look far. see rafer, and artest.

Yao's not that kind of person, i do think he's being "too" smart though.

but saying Yao doesn't want the ball on his hands for the game winning shot is not true.

no argument there. but i don't see yao having that in him.

so the coach should enforce it by calling plays. whatever is the best play should be called and executed. and i don't believe ab challenging duncan when there were 28 seconds left was the best play.

all i'm saying is Yao is not ready, and the coach and teammates have the similar assessment. Yao being a nice guy, always sending the message that if you give me the ball, i will try my best to make the play, but it is also ok if you don't and choose to go on your own.

If he doesnt have that in him, then we need to start thinking different.

    You know the usual drill:

    1. Trade him, but can't throw out any name without contradicting oneself.
    2. Rebuild, but don't know whom to build around, hopefully not AB.

IBM, you know you can drop me a e-mail sometimes to talk about stuff like this so the rest of the board doesn't feel the need to assume what i;m saying.

I think everyone wants yao to stand up and show leadership. They have been waiting and waiting, but its not in him. in a sport like basketball, one of your best players have to be a leader. it doesnt have to be just in yelling and screaming at players, it cant be "i'll just do my job and go home" either. Yao has to take the make sure he tells everyone in those huddles, out the timeout what should be done. Hakeem wasnt a screamer or yeller, but down the stretch,he made sure to let the guards know the ball should come to him. Since yao isnt the assertive type, the alpha male(artest) assumed leadership. I dont think yao really cares about it enough to make a big deal out of it. The leader will not be liked by everyone. When Artest makes poor plays, yao needs to get in his ear and tell him about it. it doesnt have to be cussing and stuff, its just to let him know and to sharpen his focus. Everyone isnt going to agree with you as a leader, but ultimitely, its yao's teams and he's going to take the criticism if it fails. If youre going to fail, fail on you're terms, not someone else's.

    This is Yao's team.
He is our most dominant and most efficient player.
He is the highest-paid player on the active roster.
He brought in the most cash for the organization.
He is ENTITLED to take a few game-winning or game-losing shots in close games. I don't care if he is guarded by Duncan, or he turns the ball over.
No one should complain with him doing it, live or die, rather than anyone else taking that responsibility.
    It's that simple.

Seriously, they don't want Yao involve more probably is because AB is the future, while Yao probably is not, at least Yao haven't agreed to sign the extension.
