Would be incredibly stupid. The knee-jerk on this forum smh, three games ago he was considered absolute trash and extension of McHale.
Hey bro, I can't disagree more. I'd wait until after the new year to make any judgements. If proven winners like JVG and Tibs are available, you go after them. jb ain't in the conversation I bet; not withstanding sustained success.
Houston have been known to give extensions way too early and i think we should wait until the end of the season
No offense, but you mis-titled this thread. It either should have said "Official give JB Bickerstaff an extension NOW!!!" Or "I have grown to HATE that we haven't given IN Bickerstaff an extension NOW!!!"
Coach's skin color shouldn't be a factor. JB seems to have the players attention and that's what is important to me. I like what we've looked like the last couple outings vs the first 18 games. Team ball vs Hero ball. Point distribution has been much better as of late.
No extension please. Let him earn a contract this summer. Nobody in their right mind would extend a 6-4 coach after his first 10 games.
Sure. Sign him, then fire him later if we find a better candidate. His salary isn't part of the cap space.
The owner's willingness to overspend on a roster is probably at least partly determined by how much money he's throwing at the coaches too, both working and recently fired.
Wouldn't that be an extension of his current salary for his asst coach position. I'm sure Les would like that. Doubt JBB would go for it. btw: pretty sure OP was being sarcastic.
I like JB's willingness to shake things up. One thing in particular is the rotations. He makes more in game rotations during the game (unlike Mchale) which I didn't particularly understand until I realized he's probably tryna keep legs fresh. Given our playing style its only right we use as much bodies as possible. The only thing I hate is him playing Brewer & Terry over Thornton. Thornton deserves to playing more
Definitely already an upgrade over the clueless pathetic McHale But way too early to give him an extension. Let's see what this team does between Christmas and around mid Jan when it goes through what will be its toughest stretch of the season. Keep in mind right now, we are going through our easiest stretch of the season. Don't jump to early conclusions.
Yes, give him one of those Parsons' contracts where you pay him nothing forever while his value is low and you can cut ties at any moment.
Hope that JB is getting a raise for the rest of the season now that he is a head coach. He should be paid until one until the end of the year. If JB coaches the Rockets to a top 4 seed in the West, he'll easily get that HC position.
