I'm kinda mocking the other thread about giving Brian Cook a chance but I seriously want to see this guy get a little time even if it's garbage minutes after blowout cause he has the tools to be a great player. He's a super athlete as most of us know and he has played great in the D-league averaging 26ppg! He could possibly give the team something they really need more of which is a guy who can attack the basket, finish with a dunk, and create his own shot with his great athleticism. Some might question if he's ready mentally, but seeing the guy in a interview on Rockets Insider with Carl Landry, and Chuck Hayes while they were speaking with some kids about the importants of going to college; seemed like he's commited to the organization and the team likes him. That said, I would definitely rather James "Flight" White than Brian Cook on any day cause he has WAY more potential and you never know... He could turn out to be the next Von Wafer on the team!!! Who wouldn't wanna see that? <img src=http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_M7_yPVHRcao/Sa3IF4TPOmI/AAAAAAAAA4s/0ney8kvicnY/s400/james-white.jpg>
James "Flight" White is strictly an insurance policy. I think the coaches are seeing how he reacts to playing with Shane and Ron in practice. Is he the type of kid that is going to learn and get better? Or do we have another Gerald Green in our midst? To play in a read and react system effectively, James White has alot of learning to do in terms of basketball IQ.
Hopefully we can get a look at him along with brian cook i'm interested to see what both of them bring to the table. I have never really seen much of either of them so it should be interesting hope for a blowout!
I hope so cause it's always boring when we play the Minnesota "Puppies", especially now that they don't have Al Jefferson anymore. It would be great to see Flight take off in tonight, but hopefully I'll be awake if he does get time lol.
I find it funny how he looks similar to Luther Head. Anyways, I wouldn't mind seeing this guy play during garbage time. But again, we are heading into the playoffs. So right now the Rockets need to get their lineups set for the playoffs with their 8 man rotation and they need to get use to it as well.
I think the Rockets will hold on to White if for nothing else marketing purposes -- if he wins the dunk contest next year he'll sell a ton of jerseys. There must be some major fundamental flaws in his game -- I'm definitely curious to see him out there in Adelman's offense.
i honestly think this kid could be like a von wafer.....coming from out of nowhere to break the rotation and can give us what were missing with t-wac out.
hahaha james white is a BEAST in that game. just get him in the lane and he'll dunk it all over someone's face Just don't try and shoot with him...
