One of the most thoughtful post ever on this bbs. Evereyone has something to deal with. Kids are great if you ask me. I had my daughter my 1st yr in college and even though it didnt work out, my ex is a great mother and was married to a great guy. I've met women in the past who didn't really want to be be involved because i had a child and young women especially dont want to take a backseat to anyone. Just like this poster said, you never knowwhat fortune that woman and her child will bring to you. Look at Sgt Harrison better known as Shaq's dad. he's not the bio, but he's the man that raised him and look at the monetary fortune shaq has brought to his father and look at the loser that left. Everey child is a gift and should be treated as such. This lady may be more mature and more forward thinking than some of the run of the mill , non child having women, but that shouldnt be a negative if she 's a great mother.
i'd stay away, unless you're serious. i mean, taking care of her is one thing, but her daughter as well? that's a lot to commit to, i'd seriously have to think things over before i made a commitment like that.

Well, I have kids and it takes a mature women to come into my life...now, they never meet my kids unless it's really serious, and I wouldn't want to meet a woman's kids unless it was also... I prefer to date a woman with kids as IMHO, they can understand my situation as they have kids themselves...on the other hand, someone w/o kids can be fun, but they have to have some patience and be able to listen... Remember, you're dating her, you're not there to be their daddy, you're there for her...and if she's as mature as you say she is, you won't meet her kids until you're in a serious relationship...of course, if you do want to see her, you'll have to be very flexible as kids stuff always comes up so be ready to have your plans changed all the time...
I poached a single mom tonight. She tried to deter me by mentioning it upon introducing myself. I said "oh how old?" She said "Five" I said "My niece is almost that age."
