I think it is up to five years if the consideration is she is a minor with no prior record. http://www.mass.gov/courts/court-info/trial-court/sent-commission/ma-sentencing-grid-gen.html
She is definitely strange because there was a month in there where she was trying to get him help even going so far as to try to arrange a hospital visit with doctors with her by his side. But, then the rest of the time, she's trying to get him to do it. She has a few screws loose. And, I absolutely hate her puppy dog eyes. Oh...poor thing!
Idk man. The girl is obviously a horrible person, but people tell other people to do stupid **** all the time, doesn't mean you actually go through with it. Not sure how to feel about this whole situation.
When somebody is an accessory to murder, they are punished, even if they didn't get their hands dirty. I didn't think he would actually do it doesn't fly in court. They have a mountain of evidence that girl was actively trying to make this happen, it wasn't just a one off joke.
She doesn't deserve prison time for this in my opinion. Might not be popular, but at the end of the day the guy made the choice to do it.
He was mentally ill but so was she. She deserves to be punished however her mental issues aren't going to be fixed in prison.
Life for words? Really? What she did was shitty, but it was his decision to take his own life. She was certainly culpable, but in a reckless manner - which makes manslaughter the proper finding. With that said, she clearly has issues of her own, and those are just going to get worse in prison. Hopefully she gets the mental health help she needs.
I remember reading this story the first time and thinking this b**** is crazy. I forgot all the details and I don't want to reread it. I remember womdering was it like some type of assisted suicide **** or something but it just looked like she wanted him to kill himself. She does look crazy though. does anyone know what her defense was? My guess is they want the crazy route.
Horrible. Sounds like a munchausen by proxy. Rightfully convicted. If it wasn't caught now she would go on to do it again to someone else who was vulnerable. Probably she would go on and join the Blue whale game.
