Ah ha! We can agree on this! The thing is ... if it was CATS she was doing this to... my biggest complaint would that that she's throwing them into a river instead of a flow of molten lava.
This is such a weird thread. Lesson learned...don't ever publicly show disdain for an act of animal cruelty lest you be served a giant dose of guilt. If you don't like puppies getting thrown in a river, either you take up a picket sign and devote your life to PETA and vegetarianism or STFU because you're a hypocrite. This is why the animal rights movement turns so many people off.
I said similar things in that thread with the hunter getting attacked by the leopard. I didn't have to comeback and say something because everyone was against the hunters. There weren't these jokes, stupid comparisons, or calling people hypocrites. Am I a regular animal activist? No. I'm not PETA. I'm a guy that loves animals & vocalize that when I see the tragedies like this one.
Says you or your friend? I know somebody who has a pet pig and reveres it just like most people would a dog.
So because I eat cows and chicken I'm a hypocrite if I voice my disgust for someone who does something menacingly to animals? I don't appreciate people clubbing baby seals, throwing puppies into rivers, or bullfighting. So when someone beats or doesn't feed their animals no one can say anything because they are all hypocrites? If something is done menacingly, with glee for the death or destruction or out of negligence then I don't find it excusable.
Ok, so after reading this thread, I am really shaking my head... The thread title said, "Girl throws puppies in river", and that should have been enough to envoke the human emotion.. Then I saw the video of it, and wow just wow.. I then read on in further posts, and I think I see pretty much everyone agreeing that that act was inhumane and she deserves to be punished (putting it lightly). After reading on further, I then reach Lil pun's posts and droxford's.. Wow, I mean how ignorant can you be?? I was trying to give Lil pun the benefit of the doubt, but i'm sorry he lost me at the movie, "Castaway". He then insists on us watching other cruelty videos, that he wants to force his point of justifying that "this stuff happens all the time". Well, I can agree on that, but there is a difference in emotional attachment between a rat and a dog. As some have pointed out, dogs have been companions to humans for a long time so there of course will be a emotional attachment. Safe to say that is why dogs are called "man's best friend"? Anyway, the point is, is that its the way that stupid girl handled the situation. IF, (and thats a big IF) the puppies actually were sick, there are better ways of handling the situation. She didn't have to throw them in the river. What made it worse, is she let somebody film her doing it!! On top of that she is laughing and saying "weee" when she does it!!! That, my fellow Clutchfans members, is the issue here. Its how she handled the issue. And as to previous posts, comparing dogs to rats, lizards, etc. That is completely different. Dogs like I mentioned are mans best friend. They have been known to help people out of depressions, save lives, and lead the blind. That is why people have such an emotional attachment. I've never heard of a rat leading the blind, but when somebody finds out please let me know.
