I couldnt tell either, but you can see they walk up there together. He also does come into the picture when people rush to help her, but only for a second because the camera moves. My guess is he was still going for cover when she fell, didn't see the hit, so he wasn't in a rush to tend to her. Not sure why he wasnt in the pic though.
It started out romantic with "baby imma hold you tight and never let go" and ended with "**** that **** deuce"
"I'll never let you go, Jack, I promise." and then she lets Jack go before she finally let's herself go.
