weirdest news of the day? and on edit I realize I misspelled his name in the title. my bad. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2641716-manu-ginobili-opts-out-of-spurs-contract-latest-details-comments-and-reaction?utm_source=facebook.com&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=programming-national
vet min contract back to Spurs so they can have space for another good player most likely SMDH i hate the spurs They will be looking for a center for sure
Exactly. Manu and Duncan (if they come back) can sign small deals that will allow them to sign a max player.
The Spurs retain his Bird Rights, so he'd have a cap-hold right now of 200% of his previous salary or almost $6m. The Spurs can renounce him to create ~10m in space, sign free agents and then sign him back for veteran's minimum. Or they can not renounce, sign someone to a piddly $4m contract, and then give Ginobili a big reward contract with Bird Rights.

Hilarious. Sixers are going to get poleaxed on the floor by the Spurs, but they've already exacted their revenge.
