Garbage time is pretty important. Parsons got garbage time last year and as a result, made it into the rotation and ultimately win the starting spot over Bud.
Garbage is very important for coaches...bc they have to see how you can run the offensive set when your given the chance...Its why Greg Smith cracked the rotation early on...same with Beverly, same with James Anderson...
A majority of his minutes last night actually saw him matched up against Blake Griffin and Lamar Odom. While Odom isn't the player he used to be, he is an experienced veteran who has played at a high level for most of his career. The only scrub he really went against was Ryan Hollins, who isn't a terrible defender.
LOLZ. I suspect this will become the norm. GARM goes crazy when DMo does good in limited minutes, GARM will barely register when DMo does sucky in limited minutes. DMo has a ways to go and needs to get a lot stronger. Odom had his way with DMo strength wise, it wasn't even close.
Pau at his best was top five in blocks and a 20, 10 guy. Let's not go nuts here. D-Mo obviously has game but let's see him string together a couple of double-doubles in games we actually win before we crown him a future all- star. I do think that Jones and Motie will eventually eclipse Morris, maybe Patterson too, but I think sometimes you guys underestimate how good you have to be just to be a rotational NBA player.
We need to have him in when we are playing half court games. Him and Asik would get most of the D and O rebounds.
Guys, Dmo's bandwagon is full, thank you very much. You can go to Terence Jones' bandwagon before he becomes hot. PS: Lin's bandwagon is also full long ago. Actually too crowded.:grin:
I keep reading people say this, and while it is true, it shouldn't be the determining factor in whether D-Mo gets minutes. He will figure it out. I lived in Dallas when Dirk was a rookie and it was even worse with him. He'd fall down every five seconds. Yao was pushed around a lot his rookie year as well. I get it. We are trying to win now, and earlier in the season maybe D-Mo wasn't ready, but he sure looks ready now. If he is playing poorly on the defensive end in a game, pull him. But I think he deserves some opportunities, and the team badly needs the post scoring he can provide.
