Yeah its pretty uncommon. However I hear a LOT of people my age who went to high school with Emeka Okafor saying how nerdy and dorky he was. Heard he's an avid counter-strike/starcraft player.

Great story about GA. I love reading his blogs on nba.com

    "I did a commerial today for Adidas. I said 'I score 30-40'. I should've said 'I score 50-60' ".

    too funny gilbert.

Arenas is my second favorite non-rocket right after J-Kidd.. I really have a lot of respect to the guy.. he is a hard worker and he really understands the game. what I like the most about him is that he is always prepared for games and he does a lot of scouting himself!! he actually watches freakin videos of officials to see how they call the game (if they call hand-checks very often, block-charge thing...)

Yeah man, that's a tough boxscore for Gilbert. Losing to the Grizz is tough, even for them. The Wizards are in a pretty severe tailspin right now and show no signs of snapping out of it.

he just doesn't feel that comfy in his oxygen deprived tent i guess. Give him a couple of weeks and boom we'll have a road monster with his elevated red blood cell counts.

Here are a couple of articles from a two day series on Arenas from the Washington Post last month. Since so many people here seem interested in him, read and enjoy. The first one is quite lengthy but it's deeper look at Arenas' life. The second article is shorter and more fun. I'm thinking the free look at them may expire next week (30 days).

    Thanks for the read apostolic.

To think he'd have another kid with the same woman. That wouldn't have happened if the media got their hands on the story beforehand...

Gilbert and the Wiz are torturing the Mavs right now. It's 76-45. Gilbert banked in a 3 a few minutes ago. Very ugly. I have to believe Jason Terry is injured. Never seen him look this bad. Or maybe the contract has killed his motivation. Either way, something is clearly wrong with him IMO.

Sometimes I feel weird why some players lose motivation after bagging in a big contract. Fortunately I don't see this on Yao after he signed max contract last season.

Maybe I overstate the case not having seen the Mavs that much. Terry's numbers aren't much different from last year's. I guess this game and his awful game against us aren't representative of how he is producing. But I still think he might be nursing some injury this game. Devin Harris hasn't hit a FG yet either.

That would have been hilarious if you did have that game system and he ditched DeShawn and the ladies to go play video games with a stranger.

Did anyone see the post-game interview with Gilbert? The Hibachi thing was too funny.

The guy is way too goofy not to be likable...

Just saw on ESPN that Gilbert wore white shoes during his 0-4 fg, 0-4 ft, and 3 turnover start to the game tonight against the Rockets. Then he changed to black shoes and ended up with 41 points. LOL So weird.

He was 0-6 FG and 0-4 FT in the 1st quarter, changed his shoes between periods and scored 41 in quarters 2-4. What a great game! Except for Tracy's injury everything went exactly the way I wanted. Gilbert blew up and the Rockets won a close and entertaining game.

Actually, he started 0-6, blanking out on free throws. Changed from white to black snickers and then scored 15 STRAIGHT POINTS, including 13 points in 83 seconds.

Another chapter in the book of Gilbertology.
