Why did he use the Wizards' "r****d alternate" jersey for the cover photo?

    Lol, I have no idea.
I would've used their away jersey.
The last 5 nba live cover players have had their AWAY or alternate jerseys on the cover.

    Carmelo
    Dwayne
    Tmac
    and now Gilbert

last time player had their home jersey on the cover was Vince Carter- nba live 2004

Thank God it wasn't a member of the Mavs with their God awful green alternate that I think P Diddy designed for them.

Wow, another injured player to make the cover. I wonder what the incentive for EA sports to do this...

There isn't really a curse for NBA Live. Just look at the list of players mentioned earlier. Madden is the EA game to worry about.

*Edit: Wait, I think I may have misunderstood you. I thought you were saying another cover guy got injured (implying a curse), but I guess you may have meant that they picked an injured player for the cover. I haven't really followed that trend.*

If I'm not mistaken, Arenas kind of trashed NBA Live (in favor of 2K) a few years ago, which makes this kind of amusing.

actually, he didn't design those alternate gray ones, he designed the current alternate Mavs jerseys.

Good choice for the cover, again, I am another one who'd rather have him in his road jersey

Live isn't that great. 2k is better.

I like the gold jersey. Hope that the Wizards get some nice people in the offseason.

i was just reading this blog by Wojnarowski... i'm going to have agree that this was a self-indulgent press conference when he has been avoiding his team completely during this playoff run

Those are the sickest jerseys in the NBA, Wizards need to change their colors to gold and black.
