Shuttling her around the world to see her friends can be tiresome. Would it be possible for you to get in contact with her Boston friend and arrange for her to visit your girl for a few days? Since they're best friends, the Boston girl can plan the itinerary and you can foot the bill.
This is a good idea too...and there is nothing wrong with doing a traditional old style courting to find your love... the other option could be a designer purse if she's into that...even if she's not, I'd imagine she'd love it...that or jewelry, like a braclet...it's the thought that counts...

I've got no advice as I'm very bad with these things. Hell, I'll probably be starting my own thread about gifts to get my girl soon enough. However, this girl must be damn special if you guys only meet once a month.
