Packed? Hardly. He had plenty of room and time to use his left there. If that right handed reverse is easier and a higher percentage shot for him, more power to him. My wife swears to me that a cross table bank shot in pool is easier for her than a moderate cut. I guess it could be true .

Exactly. It looks harder to do but actually is easier for guys who prefers it. They practice enough of it to be efficient. How I know? I use it myself during my playing days and I scored consistently with it and I am a right-hander.

What he's doing is faking the quick layup by pumping (raising the ball to get defenders to commit), then reversing.

Hard for you guys to make but easy for him. Remember, he's a professional athlete.

It's easier when your left sucks.

If I remember right, one of the most famous and amazing plays of Dr. J is a reverse lay up by his out stretched right hand palming the ball. It is a thing of beauty.

yea he would have been blocked from behind if he went for that left hand layup. he actually pumped and let the defenders jumped by him and he had an easy reverse layup. the hardest part of that layup is having the body control to pump while still maintaining that body control and the reverse layup was easy after that.

I agree with all these left hand people. He should have used his left and missed. What he did was wrong even though he made it consistently.

I read somewhere Lin is one of the highest percentage finishers in the paint. If he wanna go right on all of dem, let the man use his right. Ain't broke, don't fiss it.

He does fine with his left hand. He takes some reverse layups in order to use the rim a protection from being blocked. You are trying to make crap out of gold.

That's not exactly apples to apples. Erving had that ball palmed and couldn't have switched hands. Also, his layup came from under the backboard and he was almost over the baseline. That was a sick, sick move that only MJ has come close to repeating. I don't think anyone had ever seen anything like that until then.

Wrong. You haven't watched him play much this year.

Wow. Talk about making a mountain out of a mole hill. I think everyone agreed those were great plays. A few people commented that it's normally an easier shot to use the left hand there. It's an observation and an opinion. This is a great example of how the smallest comment regarding Lin can be misconstrued as hating on the kid.

I never thought I would see the day where defenders stayed home on Lin LOL. Totally opens things up in the paint.

2nd one definitely needed to be left handed, learn that **** up, you are a professional Lin.

Let me get this straight.. CF is criticizing an NBA player for how he's laying up the ball incorrectly, and he should do it another way?

    Typical day, I guess.

ZBo would have gotten that first one if he went straight up with the left. The second one he could have finished with his left.

They were great finishes in any case - no need for any criticism.
