This shows how much we miss Oswalt. If he was healthy, we probably would have had about 10 more wins.

if the cubs lose tonight, i like our chances on winning the division. the cubs now have to face the pirates after today, and they have a much better winning percentage than brewers

I don't question the "managers decision" (patent pending) to pull RoyO for Wags. You know Wags was chomping at the bit to get in there and atone for Monday night. To not give him the chance would have been a slap in the face to Wags.

We need Wagner's mind right for the rest of the season.

unfortunately, the Pirates traded all their good players to the Cubs.

    Cubs get the Pirates

    Astros get the Brewers

Anything can happen, by no means have the cubs wrapped anything up.

Just wanted everyone to know, on ESPN Baseball Tonight last night, after the Astros loss 10-3, Bobby Valentine said "That's it, the Astros are done. The Cubs will win the division."

In case you didn't know, Bobby "Bite The Big One" Valentine has never been right on ANY prediction he has ever made. As a matter of fact he sucked as a player, he sucked as a manager, he sucks now that he is on ESPN.

The Astros WILL WIN the division. It is guaranteed now.

After the Cubs beat the Yankees denying Roger Clemens win number 300, Bobby Valentine was on the jock of the cubs like no other. After listening to his pointless rant i couldn't help but laugh. This guy is a joke. He was with the Mets and now with ESPN. They should have replaced Showalter with someone who didn't have their head up their ass.

I can't wait for the astros to win the division, while Dusty, Mark, Kerry and Sammy are at home, sitting on their couch watching it on their big screen in their million dollar homes.

What's worse is that clown Peter Gammons agreed with Valenslime. Gammons was pumping the Astros up all season and he jumps ship after one loss. Pfffft

I have lost all respect (what little I had) for Mr. Gummons.

I was shocked when i heard Peter Gammons jump on the Cubs bandwagon.

Actually i caught his segment on ESPN Radio either yesterday or Monday. He said without really realizing it he was cheering for the astros. Guys like Bagwell, Biggio and Ausmus deserved to get in the playoffs. He then went on to talk about how dangerous this team could be and how it could be the "Angels" of this year. It's pathetic to see his stance change so quickly. Normally he's the only one on ESPN with any knowledge about baseball but it's sad to hear him change his stance within a few hours. Wonder what he'll say tonight when the cubs end up losing and we are tied a top the central

I also recommended that it be removed, on the grounds that it is HATEFUL.

    Is that game over ALREADY?

    That's what I'm talking about! A nice, Astrodome-esque 2:08 pitcher's duel....

I was at the game today and the crowd was great when Vizciano was batting and when Wags faced Bonds. Almost felt like playoffs.

I think relieving O was the right call, even though his pitch count wasn't very high and he was pitching brilliantly. Giving Wags a second chance was a big boost for the entire team and the bullpen.

Great game to watch today. Go Stros
