some backup who seems to have a decent glove

I am so tired already of the ESPN announcers going on and on about the giants not playing their starters

They keep bringing up the integrity of the game and how it isn't fair to Dusty Baker and the Cubs.

Can you make your bias any more apparent? My god, we all know everyone wants the Cubs to win the division but it gets old real quick to listen to that.

"Here's a double play ball. Here's the flip, here's the fire, aaaaaaannnnd, WHOOOOAAAA, that was a close play at first!"

    -Milo Hamilton, five minutes ago.

Uh, Milo? Was he safe or out? Please fire Milo Hamilton.

Yeah, Milo's great. Monday, during a break from class, I listen to the radio, and he's like "Astros leading in hits 7 to 5......" and??? the score?????

    He was out btw.

Is there something in the Scouting Report on Sidney Ponson that says swing at the first pitch?

Everytime i turn around the ball is in play

    well, so much for that

Is it just me or should Berkman have swung at that pitch to help out Bagwell steal 2nd?

Well, Oswalt's doing his job. Faced one batter over the minimum through 5....where the hell is the run support. I'm getting nervous.

This game is errily similar to Game 2 of the 2001 division series vs Atlanta, where the Braves won 1-0. Watch the Giants win by the same score, or 2-0, or 3-0 because the Astros hitters are pressing at the plate.

it certainly has a playoff feel to it. I mean, look at the bats, this is what we are used to come October. that team has just started to prepare earlier.

ESPN really knows how to pick the fans they talk to don't they?

The Houstonian they choose to talk to just happens to love the Yankees, and picked Atlanta in the World Series.

To sum it up in the words of that kid "they [Astros] don't have a very good team".

I'm gonna predict a few runs for the Astros in this game. No way they shut down our 4 big hitters.

This feels *exactly* like that 2001 Atlanta playoff game.
