Yeah it's so funny because if any super star becomes available no one can beat the thunders offer.

The Bucks lost to the Hornets yesterday and we just slaughtered the Bulls. Maybe, perhaps, we should just continue to roll with what we have and use our great future draft capital to reload as needed?

If the Rockets are for real this season, say still a top-4 team in the west going into the trade deadline, I wouldn't be against a star trade. But that star isn't Giannis. He ideally requires 4 shooters to work, especially when you're talking about playoff matchups. And the Rockets biggest weakness is shooting.

It would make much more sense for the Rockets to grab someone like Kyrie Irving if Dallas is really sucking. Short contract, won't cost too much in terms of picks, and helps out with shooting a lot. Especially if one of FVV or Jalen is shooting badly at that time.

About as well as you would expect from a Doc Rivers coached team.

The Rockets are thriving this season—3rd in defense, 5th in net rating, and 9th in offense. That’s impressive, especially considering our early-season shooting struggles. I believe our offense can get even better.

This shows the value of building a team from within, instead of gambling on big trades like the Clippers did with Paul George and James Harden, which didn’t pan out. Developing talent and adding smartly in free agency is the way to go for sustained success.

Sometimes trying to go for the home run play isn't always the right move.

I agree but Giannis is the one player I would trade Sengun for mainly cause I don’t think Sengun and giannis fit well together. But I would not trade amen or Tari for really anyone

This team doesn’t have a MVP caliber player on its current roster now or in the future, unless you think Şengün will get there.

While you can get to the playoffs without one, and maybe even win a series or two, you aren’t winning a championship without one. Literally don’t think there’s ever been a team that has done it.

Eventually they are going to have to gamble.

LOL If you love lobs from your center to your power forward then yes. Giannis entire game is cuts to the rim and Sengun's natural offensive instinct is to pass to cutters.

Yeah, you don’t see great teams without an MVP-caliber player, but maybe we can be like the Detroit Pistons of old and just play as one cohesive unit. Also, who’s to say we don’t already have that guy—maybe he’s just not there yet. And if we do end up needing a star, we could always explore a low-risk move in the FA market to bring one in

It would be fun, but with Giannis, he needs a very specific system to be truly effective. Count me out—unless we can snag him at a bargain deal.

I personally do think Şengün could become a top 10ish player and you can win with a cohesive unit like that.

I’m not opposed to trading for Giannis but I understand why there are many that are opposed to doing it. I personally think upgrading Jalen Green to someone like Devin Booker would make the most sense. Just don’t know if someone like that will become available.

makes little sense to have 2 bigs in the same lineup that can’t shoot relying on dribble drive to the paint as their primary offensive attack

He doesnt need a specific system you just made that up lol But whatever not like I really care if youre in or not. I think its ridiculous though to think a guy who just dropped two triple doubles in a row who also loves throwing lobs and passing to cutters would somehow not work with one of the best cutters in league history but to each their own lol

Booker has been in the league for over 8 years and haven’t led nothing haven’t won nothing. Really overrated player

I agree that upgrading to Devin Booker would elevate us, but with Giannis, you need to construct a team that emphasizes spacing to fully unlock his effectiveness.
And it's going to cost alot to get him...

Congested paint. Both guys can’t shoot beyond 12-15 ft is why. Both guys rely on the dribble drive or low to mid post. Redundant on the court. This would close up driving lanes for guards and wing guys. Unless they play hi low but you can’t play hi low every set. Again their game is low-mid post and dribble drive from up top. It won’t work unless u move one of then to the bench

Remember in the playoffs when the Celtics and Heat exploited that team by packing the paint? I just don’t see a scenario where Amen, Sengun, and Giannis can work together—it would completely clog the paint.
This gives me flashbacks when Silas decided to go with the double big lineup.
